Traditional Mayan religion has gods like Buluc, who was feared and not really respected, and was considered more of a powerful threat than anything else.
That's not to mention religion types outside of monotheism and pantheism, such as animism (which has no "gods").

Going back to that post about infantilising adults, especially adult women, I have a little story.
When I was 21, I had sex with a guy in his 40s who owned the Goth shop in my local mall and who I’d been flirting with for several weeks. We had drinks and then I deliberately and knowingly went back to his house.
I wasn’t some innocent, unknowing child preyed on by an older man. I was an adult woman, fully cognisant of the choices I was making. In retrospect, it isn’t a choice I would make again (not least because I’m ace and a lesbian, and he was a shitty lay 🤷🏻♀️) but it is one I made. It honestly makes me shudder to think of it now but I was in no way taken advantage of.
Sometimes, adults make shitty choices, decisions they will regret. That doesn’t mean they shouldn’t have the right to make them. Women in their 20s are not children that need protected. I’m almost 40 years old now and I’ll say right now to younger women - stop infantilising yourselves and each other. It’s not cute, it’s not feminist, it isn’t going to make anyone respect you more or make you safer from actual predators.
