I got both! Opened the clamshell but never opened the slip case version I bought years later.

Still planning that perfect Halloween? Why not toss in some Hanna-Barbara favorites, including KISS MEETS THE PHANTOM OF THE PARK for $59.95 on VHS? This ad reminds me of high school. When my friend Dan first introduced me to KISS, he would rent this VHS from Video Exchange. The version they had for rent was this white clamshell box version. Years later, bargain versions began popping up at K-Mart. How I would love to get my hands on a Clamshell Box Version… So much fun.

Made a “LOVE GUN LADIES” T-Shirt, using what I consider to be the coolest KISS Images ever produced. I love the story that artist Ken Kelly modeled the ladies of the cover after his wife. Such cool history. Such an amazing album cover.

The endurance a KISS buying youngster would have needed in 1977 is mind boggling. Howard The Duck #13 (released June 1977), hitting the news stands the same month as LOVE GUN is released (June 30. 1977), followed soon after by KISS MARVEL COMICS SUPER SPECIAL #1 (September, 1977) and ALIVE II (October 14th, 1977). Many-An-Advance in Allowances were probably requested that year…
