"Do you wonder if Steve looked over the cliff to see Natasha's body when he returned the soul stone?"
No, because he returned the stone and was able to save her just in time. Time travel law dictates that she wasn't able to go back to her time period because it would've affected if they won or not, so she went and helped Steve finish his mission. In the end, they chose a time and universe to live in together, eventually realizing they were in love and later got married. He stole the shield from a museum before he came back to his time after Nat died of old age and natural causes so he could give it to Sam and say goodbye to Bucky and everyone else before joining Natasha in death.
He did go back in time to dance with Peggy to fulfill his promise and assure her that he is okay before going to find where he and Nat will call home.
I either need to find this fanfiction because I'm sure it's already been written or I need to write it myself.

I just saw FLY ME TO THE MOON and found out that Chris Evans was the first choice to play Cole Davis, but dropped off. And Scarlett dropped the role of Sadie Rhodes in GHOSTED.
It'd be 10 Evansson movies.

There’s no way that Steve didn’t know about Yelena. Steve and Nat were literally best friends, they had been close friends since TWS, were together for the two years between CW/BW and IW, and were the closest people to each other between IW and Endgame. Nat 100% would have told him about her sister. It’s even possible that they met between Black Widow and Infinity War. When Nat’s talking about wanting to do better despite everyone being gone, Steve knows she’s talking about Yelena.
Had Black Widow been made pre-Infinity War (like it should have!), he and/or Clint would’ve mentioned her in the scene at the Compound after Nat’s death. Or the two of them (the two she was closest with) would’ve talked in private about how they would tell her family. Also there’s a reason Nat had a grave in Ohio, I wouldn’t be surprised if it was Steve and/or Clint (unless they explained who did it, I can’t remember lol).
Steve and Nat’s friendship is so important to both of their characters and development (hello TWS and CW) and they are the two closest Avengers post-snap, he had to know.

Steve and Natasha not becoming a couple in the 5 years time skip between Infinity War and Endgame is one of the biggest wasted potentials in MCU. Especially since it's not a fanfiction territory. Romanogers were an item in other universes.
