Yes, now that I'm back in business with my laptop, I went back and remastered some of my favorite photos from the first two weeks of August.

The summersweets are out of bloom now, but I got by with whatever other swamp plant that is. Neat to see a thick headed fly and leafcutter bee. I don't know how many trips to the nature trail are left in store for this year, but I was really feeling it today and I had an errand to run nearby.

Incredibly spicy, and incredibly delicious. I have a whole bunch that haven't ripened yet, this is definitely the best year I've had for growing them.

One of my Carolina Reapers was ready to harvest, so I went all out making shrimp marinara.

It's actually a good thing my A. mooreae didn't ship because my itinerary didn't have enough margin of error to wait for FedEx anyway. Today was so tightly packed with grocery shopping, going to stores to look at Halloween merch, and getting my new laptop. I'm technically not even done setting it up yet. Really sucks that I can't even view my own text documents without a Microsoft subscription. But a perk of my mom working for the school district is that we get it for free.

It feels weird being on a laptop again. I'm still downloading all my programs and applications. Also still adjusting to a slightly smaller keyboard. Already needed to reset a password I forgot.

Some might say it’s giving up to uber somewhere I could reasonably drive. But the way I see it, I no longer have to be enslaved by the many inconvenient quirks of my body and mind in order to live my life. I wanted to go out to the shopping center and take photos of Halloween products, so that’s exactly what I did. This was like a proof of concept for when I'm really in the trenches.

Of course, if I did drive there, I probably would have considered buying a few things at Michaels. But I can go back any time I want.

The spiderweb throw blanket at TJ Maxx was very fluffy, but I think I do prefer the one I saw this morning at Home Goods. Which is good because I bought it. Said to myself "I can't leave without this".

I was not expecting to see Josh’s Frogs products or an N. incei at Petco.
