Here's a #wip sketch of the latest sticker design I released recently.⠀ .⠀ When these ideas hit me, it's almost like lighting and I tend to 'see' them before I sketch them. Hocus pocus? Maybe. But it's fun so I go with it :-)⠀ .⠀ I sketch the idea out, sometimes again and again, to get a rough idea for how it will come together. I tend not to refine it too much in the sketchbook (like I probably should) but I find it much more efficient to do these refinements with Illustrator. It saves me retracing time as I can size and move things around as I need to, really quickly.⠀ .⠀ When I search for fonts, I sometimes hunt around for an hour or more to find one that's as close as possible to the look and feel I imagined, then it all comes together from there.⠀ .⠀ To keep it real, I must tell you my sketch book pages are much messier than this with random notes and ideas fluttering about - but for cleanliness and to help focus your attention, I omitted the noise.
