⛰ Hardest fic to write?

I'm struggling the most with Of Blood, Steel & Sand atm, mostly because it's the one I want to complete before I start tackling my veritable pile of fic concepts. Writing combat is something I've never done before, which is a bit of a major obstacle for Nil to overcome for the character progression/ story beats I have planned. I'm probably gonna skip to the event that comes after, complete that section, and then trick my brain to writing the bridging section with the combat to get to what I've already written. Hopefully that works? We'll see.

I also have a prompt for a fic concept that is going to require very extensive worldbuilding and rules for how things work in semi-canon 'verse before I can start full-on writing; I've gotten a snippet done that I'm keeping for inspo down the line, but I need to do a lot more mapping out and research before I can do anything with that, but I am really looking forward to writing that one.
