Azulaang - night
Azulaang week day 8. NSFW dialogue.
@azulaang-week-2021
Aang: “You wish to talk about last night Zula?”
Azula: “Here’s the thing. I don’t know what to say or do or think. All I know is that right now I want you to rip my clothes off right here, throw me into one of my bedrooms, you touch, kiss, lick, bite and suck every square inch of my body and you roughly jam yourself in all of my holes without mercy while your air acolyte fan girls watch and listen, wishing to join in. And you, ever the humanitarian, grant them their wish.”
Aang: “…”
Azula: “…”
Azula: “That’s probably a bad idea isn’t it?”
Aang: “I dunno, it just sounds like I’d hurt all of you and I don’t want to do that.”
Azula: “If we don’t tell you to stop then it’s cool.”

Azulaang - Unexpected visit
Azulaang week day 6. More SFW Dialogue.
@azulaang-week-2021
Aang enters the cell of mental patient Azula.
Azula: “Well, well, well, if it isn’t the high and mighty avatar.”
Aang: “Hi.”
Azula: “What is it you want? Come to gloat on how you managed to take down my father?”
Aang: “No.”
Azula: “You here to mock me in my current condition?”
Aang: “No.”
Azula: “Have you come to steal away my bending?”
Aang: “No.”
Azula: “Here to finally kill me then.”
Aang: “No.”
Azula: “Then why are you here?!”
Aang: “I just thought I check in on you, ya know, see if your being treated well.”
Azula: “What? That’s it? No verbal or physical punishments? Nothing else?”
Aang: “Why would I do that?”
Azula: “That’s what your supposed to do! Forever shame them for their humiliation!”
Aang: “I don’t believe that’s necessary. You suffered enough as it is. Wouldn’t you think?”
Azula: “I was told that my brother was inferior and so are water tribe peasants and yet both of them humiliated me and stole everything from Me! I even think they were…infatuated…with each other! This is an outrage! A crime against the laws of nature! Of course I suffered enough!”
Aang: “I’m sorry you had to go through what you did. If there was a better way, Zuko woulda found it.”
Azula: “No he wouldn’t! He planned this from the beginning! I bet he’s planning on executing me or steal me bending! And so he sent you here to pick your poison! I already lost everything because of you! I won’t make it easy! I’ll fight you to my last breath!”
Aang: “I just said I’m not here to do either, even if that were true, don’t you think I would have done something by now instead of sitting here with you and talking about it?”
Azula: “I…”
A moment of silence occurred.
Azula: “You won’t be visiting me for very long. You’ll eventually decide to leave me here for dead like the others. That’s what Zuzu did didn’t he? He got fed up with me and decided to send you here to deal with me for him.”
Aang: “I heard that Zuko came here, made you as comfortable as possible but he never told me he gave up on you and he didn’t send me here, I requested it myself. Zuko was hesitant at first but he allowed it.”
Azula: “What do you care? I’m your enemy. We’ve been locked into battle for years.”
Aang: “We’re not locked into anything. I can tell Zuko still loves you and you love him.”
Azula: “Bah! Love is…a weakness.”
Aang: “I don’t think you fully believe that. Zuko told me about the time his grand father sent your father to kill his own son, you tried to warn Zuko but he wouldn’t listen but you put a stop to it by telling your mother. The only unfortunate casualty is that she was banished. You saved Zuko’s life.”
Azula: “Well…take a look on how he repays me. He erases me from the world, only to take my birthright and he tossed me in here.”
Aang: “This isn’t a prison and Zuko cares about you and seeks to find away to patch things up.”
Azula: "No one cares about me. Everyone’s stabbed me in the back. There is no hope.“
Aang: “There is always hope.”
Azula: “How? I’ve already done so much and it was all for nothing. I have nothing.”
Aang: “Zuko won’t let you lose hope. Neither will I. But if you want me to leave and not come back then I can respect that choice.”
Azula: “Your presence here isn’t as horrible as I expected so far. I suppose I can allow you to keep coming around here. To a point.”
Aang: “I’ll be sure to visit you whenever I can. I promise.”
Azula: “Don’t make promises you can’t keep avatar. I’m sure you’ll have your work cut out for you, with cleaning up the mess my nation’s made.”
Aang: “That’s is probably a guarantee but I can and will keep this promise to visit you the second I get the chance. Is that ok with you?”
Azula: “What about your team of ragtag bunch of misfits? Would they be ok with it?”
Aang: “You let me worry about them.”
Aang smiled at Azula. Azula felt an urge to smile back but couldn’t do it right now.
Azula: “I hope you don’t come back here with any of your self-righteous ‘holier then thou’ preaches.”
Aang: (laughs) “If you don’t want that then it won’t happen. No worries.”

Azulaang Week - Half-Remembered Dreams
In honour of Azulaang Week 2021, I wrote a thing! A first chapter in what will likely be a long series of adventures in this AU.
Summary:
It is Azula’s tenth birthday, and she wakes up not in her quarters at the Palace, but in an unfamiliar forest in the Spirit World. Her mind is troubled, weighed down by the death of her cousin Lu Ten, and the disappearance of her mother Ursa. As she tries to make her way out and find a way home, she encounters a strange boy in robes of yellow and orange. Where could this path lead her?
A canon divergent AU where Azula disappears into the Spirit World every year on her birthday, and runs into Aang each time. Their adventures would change her fate, and that of everyone around her.
Hope you enjoy it, and have a marvellous day! @azulaang-week-2021

Azulaang - Better
Azulaang week day 5. SFW Dialogue.
@azulaang-week-2021
Ursa 2: “Daddy?”
Aang: “Yes little lemur?”
Ursa 2: “Mommy seems sad.”
Aang: “Why’s that?”
Ursa 2: “I told mom I love her, she said she needed to go to her room. I heard her crying.”
Aang: “Oh.”
Ursa 2: “Did I do something wrong?”
Aang: “No, you didn’t do anything. It’s just…your mother…didn’t really have a happy childhood, has made some mistakes and was ignorant. But your uncle Zuko kept showing her love, compassion and truths, he’s who inspired her to be better, like his uncle was for him. Sometimes she cries with joy too. She goes to her room because she’s still a little shy about showing her feelings. She’ll be ok.”

And give it up for day five! (This will be my last SFW entry) Read all my submissions here on ao3!
@azulaang-week-2021
Arranged Marriage
Azula tightened her fists. “Uncle, I don’t see why I have to marry at all. Lu Ten and Yue have already produced an heir, and Zuko is already married. There are plenty of options. I’m not going to be your line of succession.”
Iroh laughed, grabbing his large belly. “Ah, but remember my niece, we always need more options! If tragedy should befall our family, we’ll need—“
“Yeah, yeah. Fine, old man.” She crossed her arms, knowing it was a losing battle. “Who do you want me to marry?”
The Fire Lord held up his finger, “He is a fine man, so keep your mind open! I think it would be a good match—“
She narrowed his eyes at his rambling and interrupted, “Who, Uncle?”
“…The Avatar.”

Pet shop Azulaang
Okay anon that's still totally, definitely, 100% not @writebecauseyoucannotbreathe, prompt #2 coming at you. I have literally no idea what happened here. Like, I couldn't start it, then I just said fuck it earlier this morning, blinked, and there was a fic. I don't think I really thought about any of this. But. Here. It's a fic.
Oh, and Writ - happy slightly early birthday, my friend.
Going to take the opportunity, since I didn't have time to write anything else, to say that this is also my contribution to @azulaang-week-2021. So I did something, see?
@atla-multishipping-bingo
Modern AU Bingo I5 - Pet Shop
When she’d finally relented on going to a pet shop, this was not what he’d wanted to happen.
Aang had tried for weeks to get her to go - he believed wholeheartedly in the idea that animals could really, truly help people, and he thought a pet might be good for her. Besides, animals were cute! And hilarious! And spontaneous!
All things Azula needed more in her life, at least in his humble opinion. But his girlfriend had put her foot down: she was not getting a pet. Sure, they had Appa, but one of her own? No. She didn’t need one, didn’t want one, and they didn’t need another animal running around the house. And that had been the end of that.
Or so she thought.
He’d been persistent, sliding it into conversations while having dinner, showing her pictures of cute animals, talking more about volunteering at the shelter, everything he could think of to put the idea in her head. And, finally, his persistence had paid off.
“We can go,” she’d said,” but do not plan on getting me anything.”
That was good enough for him - he could worry about the rest while they were there. Besides, she’d done this more than once: begrudgingly go somewhere, not intending to get anything, and walk out with something.
(It’s how she’d started dating him, after all.)
But so far, the plan is not working. Not at all.
He sighs, leaning on the counter, watching Azula stride through the rows of enclosures, glaring down at various animals with a slight disinterest. Every single one has seemed to cower just a little under her gaze, even the fish. He hadn’t even thought that a fish could cower, and yet it happened, right in front of him.
The slight click of her heels echoes in the empty store, and it just seems to accentuate what she’d been saying: she wasn’t going to find anything. Maybe this time...he really had been wrong.
“Rough day?” Smellerbee rasps as she comes up next to him. (How did he keep forgetting she was here? She opened the sanctuary today.)
“You could say that,” Aang whispers.” She’s been here for twenty minutes and has done nothing but glare at the animals.”
Bee just shrugs.” She’s never liked animals, you know that. I mean, she always says she can barely tolerate Appa.”
“She’s lying. Azula loves him!” Aang knows it's true, but he’s wondering, now, if maybe there was a little truth to her words.
“Hey, it’s alright, Aang. If she doesn’t like animals, she doesn’t like animals - it’s not a big deal.”
“Yeah, I know, I just - hey, wait, where’d she go?”
The click of her heels was gone, and Azula was nowhere to be seen. She’d vanished, like a ghost. He pushes off the counter and glances around.
“Azula?” he asks loudly. Where did she even go?
“Over here,” she calls from the back of the building - he had no idea how she’d gotten back there so quickly, but he hurries towards her, anyways. If she’d stopped walking, she must have found something that intrigued her. When he finds her, she’s staring down at one of the kennels, and she wordlessly points at the animal that had piqued her interest.
It’s a fox.
A...fox.
He really hadn’t expected that one, but it’s easy to see why the animal had piqued her interest: it’s small, maybe fifteen pounds at most, yet it stares up at Azula like it could take her in a fight. And it's gorgeous - deep red with a black tail, face, and chest like it had just rolled around in charcoal. It yawns as he watches, almost as disinterested as Azula is pretending to be. (Actually, that...matches her fairly well.)
“Is this one available?” Azula asks quietly after another moment.
“I thought you didn’t want an animal?” he teases, slinging an arm around her shoulders.
She huffs, but leans into his side, reaching up to gently hold his hand.” Hush, you, and answer my question.”
He chuckles, gives her a light squeeze, and nods at Smellerbee.
“Uh…” she starts.” Yeah, technically - but are yah sure?”
Azula nods.” I am.”
Bee shakes her head as she walks back to pull the fox out.” Suit yourself. Don’t say I didn’t warn you, though.”
It only takes a moment to understand the warning - when Bee reemerges from the kennel area, the fox is biting, snapping, and growling at everything in sight, only stopping when Bee puts it down on the floor. He half expects the fox to dart away as Azula crouches down, and sure enough, it raises up on its haunches, snarls a little - although it’s more cute than intimidating - but it stops, sniffs Azula’s hand.
She keeps her hand right where it is, just lets the animal keep sniffing her hand. Azula doesn’t move, and for a moment Aang thinks she’s not breathing, either. (He wonders, for a second, if this is what Azula had seen in her - the same unbreaking stare, the same wary exterior, but thinking, hoping that maybe there was a soft heart under it all.
Sounds a lot like someone he knew.)
He can see Bee’s eyebrows raise as the fox slowly, moment by moment, drops her guard.
“I’ll be damned,” he hears Bee murmur as the fox sidles a little closer. Azula gingerly reaches forward, pats its head gently, then scratches it experimentally on the forehead.
The fox practically melts, and that’s all it takes.
“Satomi,” Azula whispers after a silent moment of scratching the fox’s forehead.” I think it suits her.”
When she glances over her shoulder at him, there’s a soft light in her eyes, a light he rarely ever saw.” Don’t you?”
“Yeah,” he says, crouching down next to her. He doesn’t, really, but if it makes Azula happy, well - he can’t complain.
(Later, when he sees her curled up on the couch, half-asleep with Satomi tucked under her arm, he can’t help but smile.
“I was totally right,” he boasts quietly as he tugs a blanket over her.
”Don’t let it go to your head.” Azula, he knows, is trying to sound threatening, but it doesn’t work. He chuckles to himself, kisses her forehead - when she’s half-asleep and struggling to stay awake like this, she’s more adorable than intimidating.
“I’m not hearing a no,” he whispers, kissing her on the cheek again. She swats at him, but he can see the grin on her face.
She’s happy. Totally, blissfully happy. Good, he thinks. That’s all I wanted.
“...fine. You were right,” she finally mutters. Her smile as she scratches at Satomi’s head, he thinks, is like the sun itself.)

I forgot I had this written for the first child/parenthood prompt as well! It’s much happier than my first submission… or it could be part one and the child is Oraya. 😭
@azulaang-week-2021
First Child
“Avatar.”
Aang winced, Azula only called him that when she was pissed at him for some reason. “Yes, love?”
“Don’t ‘yes, love’ me,” she snarked. “Do you know what day it is?”
He panicked— he was never good with dates. He knew it wasn’t her birthday though. Anniversary? No, it wasn’t the right month… maybe—
“Aang,” she gritted her teeth, “my period is late.”
…
Oh.
“That’s…”
Azula crossed her arms and raised her eyebrows at him, waiting for his response.
Aang seemed to vibrate as he knelt in front of her and placed his hands on her abdomen. “That’s amazing!”
She blinked in surprise, looking down at the brilliant grin stretching his cheeks.
“Are you really pregnant, do you think?” He glanced up at her. “Are we gonna have a baby?”
Azula seemed to lose the tension in her shoulders. Maybe…it wouldn’t be such a bad thing if she was.

Azula: Aang annoyed me today, so I told him that I can’t wait to see what he has planned for our special day tomorrow.
Azula: There’s nothing special about tomorrow though.
Azula: But there IS something special about watching the color leave his face as panic takes over.
