There are dreamers, and there are realists in this world. You think the dreamers would find the dreamers, and the realists would find the realists, but more often than not, the opposite is true. You see, the dreamers need the realists to keep them from soaring too close to the sun. And the realists? Well, without the dreamers, they might not even get off the ground.

When she kisses me, I feel all four winds blow at my face.
But what do you do with a woman who has no love for you?
She’s my lost captive and no longer lies along my legs…
I wrote that for you.

The cheese-mites asked how the cheese got there, And warmly debated the matter; The Orthodox said that it came from the air, And the Heretics said from the platter. They argued it long and they argued it strong, And I hear they are arguing now; But of all the choice spirits who lived in the cheese, Not one of them thought of a cow.

— Dani Clayton, The haunting of Bly manor
"People do, don't they? Mix up love and possession. I don't think that should be possible. They're opposites really: love and ownership."

People think that intimacy is about sex. But intimacy is about truth. When you realize you can tell someone your truth, when you can show yourself to them, when you stand in front of them bare and their response is 'you're safe with me'- that's intimacy.

Probably friends, possibly lovers but definitely not nothing Those were the three thoughts in my mind The first time your path crossed mine When I saw those eyes again after several years
Then I learned your stories, realized how easily you could write a smile across my serious disposition I started practising, learning you, thinking about you a little too much in my spare time
The three thoughts changed,
Probably lovers possibly friends but definitely not nothing Then things started to change I realized the love only went one way I started anticipating the feeling of you pulling away Your sentences became shorter as my grip became stronger On a love that was falling through my fingertips, You took my smile as easily as you had given in
The three thoughts chimed one more time
Probably nothing, possibly friends, but definitely not lovers

Reminder
"If someone in your life does not share your values and doesn't care for your feelings, then this is not a healty relationship for you. As soon as we try changing other people it's time to pull away and say to ourself and them "this is who i am and what i need for us to continue". We may lose a lot by leaving, as many of us have, however by leaving we can achieve the greatest game: finally turning the inwards to integrate with ourself so we are in a position of wholeness and can be in control of our choices and have the power to look after ourselves and create a happy, healy and truly loving life."
