marcus/ginny headcannons

touching

• marcus is always touching ginny, it's a reminder that she's there and isn't going to leave.

• he wouldn't care if people saw him being all over ginny. holding her hand, hugging her, keeping his arm on her shoulders (he's too tall for his arm to be around her waist comfortably), etc. but he wants to keep those moments for only them.

• ginny also isn't super comfortable with pda, so that's another reason for him to not do it in public.

• whenever marcus comes over to her house to watch a movie or do homework or whatever, they always end up cuddling, laying wrapped up in each other's arms, giving each other sweet kisses, whispering different things.

my mom came into my bedroom - without knocking- preceded to lie on my bed, while i was on it, essentially laying half on top of me. and when i told her to get off she shushed me. i continued telling her to get off, she continued to ignore me, i obviously got mad. then when i started expressing that i was mad she raised her voice at me and started talking to me like i was five telling me calm down. i then asked nicely for her to get off and she ignored me. when i got mad again told her to get off, she asked me what i was watching on my phone and why i couldnt watch it with her. i told her it didnt matter, i just didnt want her there. she got mad at me and finally left my room. that was maybe 2 hours ago and shes been ignoring me ever since.

what the actual fuck. i know for a fact that shes waiting for me to go and apologize but thats not fucking fair, i literrally didnt so anything wrong. i reacted negatively to something she did and instead of stopping it she continued. i shouldnt have to apologize for getting mad and upset when she was the one who was disrespecting my boundaries. and she knows that i dont like it when she does that, yet she continues to invade my space. i may not get along with my brother all that well but at least he has the fucking decency to knock before coming into my bedroom and respecting my wishes. my mom didnt care that i was getting upset and continued to do the same thing that i constantly get upset over.

she's probably going to blame me getting emotional on hormones and thats a whole other problem in and of itself. wanting other people to respect my personal space is not too much to ask, yet she acts like it would be the end of the fucking world if she did that

i got 84 pages into the music of what happens before i put it down. i don't like any of the characters. i don't think the dialogue is realistic at all, it comes out as forced and kinda cringy. im definitely not vibing with the writing. the plot seems like something i would enjoy, but the execution is just not that great. overall im not enjoying this book and im probably gonna dnf it.

I'm not muslim, but even I can tell that the way my history teacher ( a white, Christian woman) talks about being Muslim is really inaccurate. She acts as if having one Muslim friend in college means she gets to talk shit about the parts of Islam she doesn't understand. And I'm not even going to pretend as if I understand them completely, because I don't, but I at least try to educate myself and comprehend how things work, unlike her. It is not my place to get offended, but its really bothersome to have a person who has never and will never understand what it's like to be a part of that community act and talk as if she did.
