Did you know Five Below sales art supplies? And that they sell jelly gouache? I saw the YouTuber @superraedizzle-blog giving a review on them and decided to give them a try myself. I figure who would make a great test subject but the adorably pink Kirby?

The verdict? I enjoyed working with them and I feel like they'd be a nice option if you like working with a pastel palette. They're only $5 and each container comes with a labeled lid. It also worked well with washi tape to create the striped background. However the drawback being that the colors are limited to being only pastels, can be a challenge for some folks.

Still a fun art supply to give it a try. For $5 it's not a terrible price. Could make a nice gift for a young or inexperienced artist wanting to try something new.

Oryou constantly floating behind Ryouma aside, I imagine anyone first meeting them wouldn't expect the two of them to be so close. They don't feel like the public displays of affection type, and while their banter is great, Oryou's teasing does come across in a very dry way and Ryouma tends to just calmly go along with it. I can just imagine Ritsuka telling a new summon about the events GudaGuda6 and them being shocked by how passionate the two of them can be for one another (before Oryou bites Ritsuka for telling the story)

But yes yes yes to all of this. Their relationship is something really only for them to understand, outsiders be damned!.

There’s actually a really interesting video on the entomology of “wife” in Japanese and there is one thing I find the video touches on is SUPER interesting (beyond the fact that wives were called ‘mountain goddesses’).

In the video, the speaker mentions how a stereotypical Edo couple would have a wife who berates her husband for not doing enough, much in the same way Oryou does here (and in so many of her other voicelines).

With this, the Sakamotos appear to be a modern interpretation on a stereotypical Edo couple. So the reason it looks strange to us is because they’re acting like an Edo couple out of the 1860s!
