WHY WE HAVE TO STOP COMMENTING ON CHARACTERS BODIES IN BAD WAYS & STOP USING FLATTYKAWA AS A JOKE:

I know we’ve all seen the “flattykawa” jokes and sure lots of people still find it funny but it’s not cute and we should all stop saying it. Why? Because it’s not cute to body shame anyone fictional or not!

So many people who deal with REAL LIFE body image (such as myself) are very hurt when they see their comfort character being bashed about something he can’t control. Like it or not fiction affects real life. If we all make the fandom (a place that is a safe place for many) a platform where people think it’s okay to openly comment on characters bodies, we are not making this a very safe place at all.

It’s not just him!!! STOP TALKING ABOUT ANY CHARACTERS/REAL PERSONS BODIES IN A NEGATIVE WAY! It’s okay to compliment other bodies! All bodies are beautiful and they deserve to be celebrated! But when you nitpick something someone has no control over? It’s rude and awful.

There’s also so many other things to focus on when it comes to characters. Like their personalities, their actions, how they act towards other characters etc. So stop watering down characters to only their bodies and comment about how they’re “ugly” or any other negative wording, and start focusing on other important things.

It’s not just Oikawa there’s so many other characters yall fat shame, skinny shame, etc. It’s not cute when real life fans of these anime’s deal with those issues! Why are you insinuating that having a flat butt is wrong & it’s unattractive and you should be ashamed of it if you have one?

DO NOT MAKE THIS A SAFE SPACE FOR BODYSHAMERS! WE CELEBRATE BODIES HERE! There are real life people who have the same body types as these characters, don’t make them feel bad about something they can’t control just because you want to make a “joke”.

+ quit talking about how much you hate other characters and associate them with negative things (like atsumu & that murderer we all know) STOP BASHING OTHER PEOPLES COMFORT CHARACTERS JUST BECAUSE YOU THINK ITS FUNNY! + pls reblog this it’s important
