Is hypnosis real? Yes.

Hypnosis is a state of focused dissociation. It’s not mind control.

I see it compared to the sort of trance-like state one might enter when driving. Sometimes you get lost in your thoughts and ten minutes have passed and you don’t consciously remember making that turn but you’ve arrived at your destination all the same.
