She stared up at Hyena expectantly, and when she got her answer she turned to the scrap heap and glanced at the little entrance it made. She was quiet for a moment and huffed, sucking in a large breath. Well the best way to find her sister would be to scream her name real loud right? That’s what she figured. It always worked in the past and with the vacancy of the scrap piles, she doubted she’d alert raiders that were nearby. Anyways, she could escape quickly or hide in the scrap piles if it came to that.
Ava stepped forward, ready to let out a loud roar.
❝ Aaaapeeeex! ❞
Apex, the name her younger sister would prefer. It was the title of the superior predator in the area. However, ironically enough, the girl was in no way fit to be a predator. Or seem that way at least. As if on cue, a younger girl with long, messy black hair poked her head out from one of the scrap heaps. She located the source of her name and popped up, running over quickly. The girl was small like her sister, and just as dirty. She wore a navy dress compared to her sister’s black overalls and a blue collared shirt in contrast to her sister’s red t-shirt. However unlike her sister, she was missing her left arm.
The girl looked at Ava then at Hyena, then back at Ava. She tilted her head slightly and gazed up to the man.
❝ Who’re you? ❞
Was all she asked. Nothing very malicious and unsettling about her in the least. However her sister stepped up, not letting the man actually speak for himself. She cleared her throat loudly and gestured to him.
❝ This is the guy who helped me f’oind you. He’s pretty smart. He’d be n’oice to stick around with. ❞
She spoke aloud, but it seemed more like she was thinking aloud. The younger sibling blinked up to the man and grinned, curtsying to him.
❝ Th’names Ellie! But y’can call me Apex. ❞
That was a hint, maybe not a good one but better than nothing. He willingly followed when the girl made haste and pulled into a direction, leading both of them to a scrap of cloth which he collected – one never knew. Hyena doubted he’d stumble across a hunter or track hound to actually use the gathered track. His sense of smell was pitiful and even normal human levels wouldn’t be enough after all.
The tracks though looked very promising. His companion seemed to think the same and pulled him along with admirable determination. He would have been able to break the grip on his hand but he saw no use in that. As long as she kept holding on he wouldn’t loose her.
And then, suddenly, the tracks were just gone. There weren’t any others either as far as he could see, so Hyena as at least sure that the sister hadn’t been abducted by other Junkers – or beasts. His companion turned to him, expecting a smart answer that the priest probably didn’t have. “Oi suppose she either learned flying or climbed over the scraps.” Both options were bloody insane in his opinion. One slip and you might end up speared on one of the metal pieces – not a nice end if you asked him. There were prettier ways to go. He resisted to reveal his thoughts to the younger, somehow sensible enough to realize she wouldn’t want to hear about that part. “Do ya think she could fit in between there? The bunny sure did.” The blonde pointed at the metal-construction. “Try calling her, might be close. Though oi doubt that.” The other option was to rip out any scrap of metal and look if there were still tracks left. He would even volunteer to do so. “Since there are no other tracks oi doubt other passengers got her. That’s a good thing.” A scratch to his neck followed. Lady might be useful in more way than one, the scope being able to oversee the construction easily, however he would have to travel back quite a bit and who knew if the little lost girl would stay in one place while Hyena tried to get to his rifle. “She can’t have gone anywhere we can see: Through the metal seems ta be the way ta go.”

❝ Well, oi can prove my knowledge. Oi know the Widowmaker’s real name is Amelie Lacroix. ❞
The woman reached and fumbled through her pocket, taking out a tablet and holding it up to the widow, flipping through many photo evidence and files about the widow, some that only Talon would know.
❝ Oi know about Gerard Lacroix’s assassination, the failed doomfist gauntlet heist, the Mondatta assassination. Her and Reaper went in to take the doomfist gauntlet right? And she got punched by a child. ❞
She had a lot of dirt on the Talon agent. She could go on and on from what she got. from the databases. She went through police records, databases, she even hacked into Overwatch’s agent database and dug up old files on the Lacroix couple. If there was one thing she hated most it’s when people underestimate her.
“Her early forties? Oh, ma petite chérie, you are not buying alcohol from me– there is no need to lie like that,” she chides, though she’s only half skeptical. She’s seen far stranger things than women and girls who don’t look their age– particularly ones who sound as though they’re from the same radioactive hellscape that filthy rat creature calls home.
“Tiens tiens. It is clear to me your imagination is simply running wild. Pauvre chérie– I think you may need a nap.”

❝ Ah. Reaper eh? Very fittin’ with your att’oire and all. ❞
She gave a small cackle and grinned widely. He wanted in on the treats? Well he has proved to be of some kind of specialty, perhaps he could make it easier than it already was in the first place. Which went back to her plans of getting on his good side to strike up a deal, this was going perfectly her way.
❝ You want in on this? Well why didn’t ya say so! Oi’m not usually open to having people take part of m’oi loot but you proved to be one of hell of an otherworldly guy, so oi’ll make an exception for that. ❞
The wraith cracked his knuckles as he felt the energy flowing through his dried veins, a dark mist escaped his skins and faded into the air as she spoke, he could tell that she didn’t believe he was an undead.
“Reaper, that’s what I call myself.”He stated with a grin beneath his mask.”Well it’s rude to have a fiesta without even inviting me.”Added Gabriel stared at his crawls.

❝ Uhm... It was in the park. She ran off somewhere an’ now oi can’t f’oind her anywhere. Oi checked by the pretty fish pond, around all th’trees, she isn’t around at all but oi doubt she could of left me here, we’re sisters, we wouldn’t abandon each other that easily. ❞
She mumbled quietly, glancing around again. Nope, no black overalls and red, torn up t-shirt. She couldn’t figure out where her other half had gone. The twins were very close, inseparable. They all they had left of family after all.
Hanzo blinks once at the young woman’s explanation, wondering how he manages to run into these people. Of course it had to be when he was trying to enjoy a walk alone. He was close to just sending her on her way without his assistance, but knowing his experiences in the past that wouldn’t be too easy.
“Where is the last place you saw her, your sister?”

❝ F’oiles in the Talon database. ❞
A young woman she assumed. But looks deceive. The Australian was well over her 30s, barely crossing her early 40s. However with how stunted her growth was because of the radiation, she still looked rather young. Perhaps radiation is the secret to eternal beauty, she just thought the radiation froze her cells from aging. But quite a far-fetched theory it was.
❝ Oi do do a lot of readin’. For a sheila in her early fourties. ❞

“What a curious little child,” is her simple response as the heel of her boot plants firmly down on the pavement, halting the slow pace at which she’d been walking before gently turning her head to one side to make it visible to the girl in profile. A small, amused smirk is on her face, her tone both playful and predatory. She seems neither concerned nor worried.
“And such an imagination– tell me, from where did you get it? You must do a lot of reading…”

❝ That is very much so! But oi can’t blame ya for wanting to shoot me dead. Many people want to do that! Yet here oi am. ❞
She tilted her head a bit and crossed her arms. She couldn’t see the souls he was eating but she doubted he was lying. He seemed to serious to be anyways. Maybe he’s delusional like that one junker girl she met. But she decided not to question in fear of being shot.
❝ Well you’re welcome oi guess. ❞
She grinned widely again, he was curious about her now? Time for her to shine. If she manages to get on his good side, maybe she can make a deal out of this.
❝ They call me Ichor. Infamous chemist-slash-arsonist junker from Australia. Oi was gonna do a heist here but- you crashed into m’plans is all. ❞
“Hmmmm ? Is that so ?”He chuckled darkly, his obsidian orbs ignited instantly at her dare.”I can’t realist the urge to try.”
The terrorist copycatted the other’s maniacal grin, he didn’t fear explosion ever since he became an undead, his new form enabled him to simply vanish into a cloud of smoke in a blink of an eye.
“I don’t care about those poor souls, you just offered me a great buffet.”Stated Gabriel and grabbed one of the soldier’s soul before swallowing it whole. “They are merely a cover for my own benefits, I have my own purpose of being. Now now, may I know who I have the honor to talk to ?”

❝ Oi wouldn’t call m’self nosy. More... Curious. ❞
Her own accent bled through her words, accompanied by her filthiness, it was easy to see that she was a junker. However with the paper crown she wore, something was quite different about her that differentiated her from other junkers. Most junkers were violent from the start, often uncontrollable and obnoxious. However herself, she was quite polite and calm. However the reasoning lied deeper inside her. A junker who believes she was a queen.
Not just a queen as a general term. She genuinely believed she was royalty. Fairy tales that she was told since she was young filled up her brain, however with radiation and improper living containment, reality and fiction started to collide, leaving the girl to dub herself as a queen who ruled the world. No matter the place, no matter where she was, she was the queen of it. And right now, she was queen of King’s Row.
Queen’s Row sounded much nicer to her.
❝ How’d it get l’oike that anyways? Your skin’s quite pretty. ❞
King’s Row was the place of her best kill to date, she liked to think– though all of them were usually done quite well. This particular kill? Had made her feel truly a l i v e. Likely due in part to the interesting game of spider and the fly that she’d engaged in with that Overwatch agent…Tracer, but. That was besides the point.
This was a place that she loved to revisit. Not even on a mission, the woman was not dressed in the outfit she usually adopted; casual wear was a must when dealing with with the public…as proven by the young female that approached her out of the blue. Her head tipped, regarding the shorter femme with cool eyes, jeans a cashmere purple cashmere sweater covering most of her body…but the visible parts were, indeed, blue.
“Yes. It is natural…are you always so nosy?” she purred, her tone collected and littered with how heavy her accent tended to be.

❝ Are you Widowmaker? ❞
She asked quite casually. She was face to face with a an assassin? She didn’t really care much. It was the first time she left the warehouse she locked herself up in for weeks. Mostly because she ran out of energy drinks and food. However while scrounging the streets, she bumped into the iconic criminal. However she wasn’t very scared or anxious. Mostly due to her sleep deprivation and the fact she’s running off 12 five hour energies.

She rolled her eyes and continued looking for the hallway they needed to go to. However apparently her temporary colleague decided he wanted to fuck off and get them both killed. She let out a huge sigh and watched him run off. She glanced down at one of the pagers she took from the guards and narrowed her eyes slightly.
She let out a small cough and brought up the pager to her mouth.
❝ This is Seraphina, oi’ve found the culprit who broke into the institute. He’s headin’ down the west wing hall towards the vault. Requestin’ back up immediately, over. ❞
A moment of silence and confirmation was heard over her pager. They believed her as one of the guards and the grin on her face only got wider. After a few moments the first guard came to her aide, only to have himself knocked out by her. With a quick strip, she donned the guard uniform and left the guy perched on the wall, looking as if Junkrat did the assault. With herself now disguised as a guard, she will be immune to any suspicion.
It was only a matter of time before other guards start showing up to apprehend the junker. If he wanted to sabotage this heist so bad, then she’ll make it a challenge.
❝ We could of had somethin' good goin’ here, but y’decided to go off and act like a cunt. Let’s see how long you can last then. ❞
“Yes, o’ course, ma’am.”
He salutes with his prosthetic, bitterly hissing the words back at her. He eyes the unconscious guards with a subtle eye; idiots probably had it coming to them.
He’s PISSED off. Orders, orders, more orders. He didn’t get no orders from Roadie, he gave the damn orders. He was the one who bossed everyone around. Damn girl. His trigger arm is just getting twitchy from the lack of noise.
He sneers devilishly. He’ll do something about that authority difference.
He walks by her and sprints down the left, making sure to purposely clank his fake leg down loudly. The thunks echoes through the whole area.
“Mind the cripple comin’ through!” He hollers. “Got a disabled expert here!”

❝ Ohhh. Yes very-very much so! ❞
Speakers? Those are the things that make sound right? If she had one of those... People couldn’t stop the white noise she distributed then. She clapped her hands together with a bright smile on her face.
❝ Oi’m Wh-Wh’oitenoise. ❞
If she was clever about this she can get the device off the other’s hand and modify for her own cause.
It was a rare occasion that someone would take much notice to the weaponry he brought with him, thye either found his ‘noise’ annoying or were complimenting the sound he brought to the table. Not many people however actually took notice ot his tech, despite how proud he was of it. Perhaps that was for the better, after all, this was stolen Vishkar technology after all.

❝ Oi ain’t tellin’ you what to do, oi’m saying what where th’ fuck you’re going. ❞
She hissed. Who did he think he was? ‘I am the expert’. Well so was she. This was what she did best after all. She slid along the wall, glancing past a corner to see two guardsmen patrolling the hall next to them. Here’s where Ichor’s quick thinking came in. She waited till one of the guards were about to walk past them and grabbed him, grabbing something from her side pouch and covering his mouth. In almost an instant the guard was out, leaving the other guard coming down. Course she did the same exact routine and the two had unconscious security guards on their hands now.
She patted the two men down, grabbing any weapons and thinks of importance that they had. She went to a nearby supply closet and unlocked it, grabbing the two guards and stuffing them inside, but not without tying them up of course. She locked the closet again and smashed the key while still inside the lock, sufficiently jamming the door.
❝ Alr’oight. One of those blokes had a map on them and from what it says, we’re on the right track. Another left and we’ll be at the vault. ❞
“I’m watchin’, I’m watchin’.”
When Roadhog said this place was gonna be a hit for Junkers and bounty hunters alike, (before the tubby had ran off to do whatever the hell pigs do for spare time) he hadn’t believed him. ‘Course he didn’t believe him. He didn’t believe no one.
That went over nicely for him.
He grumbled. More orders from the other junker. Sure, he figured some help would do him good, but orders? What did he look like, some sorta klutz? Maybe he was, but that wasn’t a fair reason to shove orders up his-
“Now quit tellin’ me what to do. I AM the bloody EXPERT

❝ Nope! When oi was looking oi didn’t see no tracks. However I did find some torn clothe on some metal thing pokin’ out of the ground. ❞
Ava pointed to a piece of sharp sheet metal not too far from them, she held up the blue cloth for verification before stuffing it back in her pocket. There was no doubt to the little girl that it belonged to her sister, the two were like opposites. Ellie had long hair, and a dark blue dress with a light blue button-up, and Ava had short hair and black overalls with a red t-shirt. She immediately started pulling the stranger with her, suddenly getting an idea of where her sister could be.
She stopped by the sheet metal, examining it closely. Then she saw it, foot prints leading away from the sheet metal too a sea of sheet metal. Now they were getting somewhere. However Ava thought she could just leave the guy and find her sister herself, but chances are if some big, bad raider found her, she’d be dead meat. She she just continued walking along the foot path made while holding the guy’s hand in almost a death grip. At least to a 12 year old.
Rest assure to the guy that the twins wouldn’t eat him. If he bothered to help them then he could be of use in the future, eating such potential like that would be a waste and a mistake on the girl’s parts. They were smart kids, eat the useless ones, keep the useful ones for future problems. And lucky for Hyena, he fell under the ‘useful’ category.
After a while of walking the trail went cold, leaving the two in the middle of scrap pile sea. Ava looked around quietly, tapping her chin.
❝ Um... The footprints ended... Now what? ❞
She looked up to the adult, he should know what to do now, right? Adults were the wise ones in these situations afterall.
Well, that was mildly disconcerting. To be honest – mildly was probably a crass understatement and Hyena had a hard time comprehending the words, for different reason some might expect. Shit, why couldn’t he have been this smart when he was a kid? “So. We find the bunny, we find yer sister.”

This was possibly on the list of the dumbest things he had ever done – helping a pair of cannibals getting back together while presenting an afternoon snack, meaning him. But Hyena was pretty confident that he wouldn’t die. His gods still needed him, right? Would be a waste of resources of their side if they just let him run into an open knife. Listening into himself for any resemblance of a warning, he finally came to the conclusion that the little girl stated the truth.

Following the hint, the priest focused his attention onto the surroundings. That didn’t look to good. With all bits and pieces lying around there was a high possibility that the bunny and her sister have crawled into some unknown depths. “Have ya looked for some tracks? Might’ve stumbled while chasin’ if we’re lucky.” Otherwise he would resort to sorting through every last piece of scrap in the hopes of finding any hint. This method would take ages. “Do ya think someone made their home there?” No, she probably had looked there already. A slow shake of his head and he set into motion “Ya lead – I follow.”

The faint ringing in her ears became a comforting sound to her, all those years spent in isolating in the Outback. Even she, someone who would be a target, was lucky enough to not be found in her area of the Outback. But was it really luck when all she had was herself and the burnt skeletons of her family? It takes a toll, especially on someone so young. So when all the loud noises she’d hear when she’d go out raiding started affecting her hearing, she started to her something. She couldn’t figure out what, but she rationalized that it was voices talking to her. The girl became fascinated and slowly started purposely exposing herself to such loud noises; in the progress, losing her hearing.
Time passed and she made small machines called White Noise Machines the size of tape recorders. She used these devices and slid them into tents she’d find, sharing the one thing that kept her company. The voices. However unbeknownst to her, it was just the ringing of her ears telling her she’s going deaf.
When she escaped the Outback, she wandered around aimlessly for a while. However one day she met a man who at first, she was alarmed by.

The Overwatch operative grinned as she circled around Widowmaker. The famed Talon sniper. The blue femme fatale, Widowmaker. How so much has been said about her, even before she was recruited by these blokes who called themselves peacemakers. It was such an honor to meet such a woman. But protocol was protocol and she can’t be seen attempting to make friendly conversation with the Widow on mission. However her squadron doesn’t even know where she went. There was silence for the while where Marceline was showering. After a few moments of the ambiance of the shower head, silence indicated she finished showering. A couple minutes of silence passed once more as finally the woman emerged with a towel wrapped around her, albeit messily. At least she understood to cover up in the company of someone. She glanced over at Mei and saw the clothes, grabbing them quickly and going back inside the bathroom and putting them on. Though they were a bit baggy, they fit quite comfortable on the woman and she came back out fresh and clean, which she was very happy to be.
She went back over to her notebook and started writing in response to what Mei said earlier.
After a bit of hesitation, she turned to show the notepad.
❝ Omnics are smart, right? They could probably read weather better than any human can. I guess they can do something good for Australia for once. But I’m not sure how in the world you’re going to fix the weather in Australia unless you deplete the heavy radiation that plagues the land. ❞
She appreciate that much. She appreciated that the Omnics were at least trying to heal the diseased land.
Mei stared at the note, considering what she could say, how she could say it. She did not think that anything that would be said tonight could influence this person in one night. She knew she couldn’t speak about her involvements with Overwatch, so talking in depth about Zenyatta wouldn’t be acceptable. Snowball was technically an AI unit, but certainly not to the degree as an Omnic. Of course she could say there are plenty that have been working towards creating a healthily integrated lives, giving towards communities, but with no personal connections, the words would just seem hollow.
She picks out a new set of clothes for Marceline and stands to the side of the bathroom door, leaning against the wall. “I don’t know a way for me to tell you what they have been doing in way that you would believe. I’m sorry…for all of the pain you have been through. I know it is not much, but I am working to try and solve the weather conditions in Australia. In time there could be more Omnics trying to assist me.”
