Sketched a lil pic of my partner's slowpoke. He's a sleepy guy who spends most of the day napping. A great cuddle buddy.

Here are a few of the pokemon that I wanted to share that I've obtained in different parts of my life. My family's made up of trainers, but I'm the most decorated in that I have more badges and experience with pokemon.
Where I'm from, the Elite Four (E4) challenge is usually a four year course that comes after Gym Challenges, which enrolls just about everyone. It's a social expectation that trainers challenge the E4 and get the champion title; and while I came from a family who only has one other member who attempted the E4 challenge, it was expected of me, too. Cheshire and Lilac were actually two of the six pokemon who fought by my side.
A lot of people attend different institutions that can provide a unique E4 experience - mine was... full of hardship and while I completed my E4 challenge, I did not earn the rank of champion. It feels weird having the experience under my belt but no actual title to commemorate it, I'm isolated from a lot of my peers in that aspect. Sometimes it feels as though everyone just moved on without me.
Regardless, I won't let it discourage me from being a pokemon trainer. I'm re-learning how to take on all the challenges that come my way. I just have to figure out what kind of trainer I am.

Question for rotomblr: is it normal for a pokemon that's never been in battle to spontaneously evolve without warning?
Context below:
So I've had Mittens for like 11 years now. He's always been avoidant of other pokemon and thus disliked battling so I never forced him to. In return, he's looked out for me all these years as an emotional support through hardship.
This week has been ROUGH. In a not-so-distant past I would have reacted much more destructivley to this stress, but instead it just fell of my shoulders like nothing. Everything sorted itself out the more I let go and I think Mittens noticed. He was avoiding me all day today, I was starting to think that maybe he was getting sick. But just about an hour ago he came up to sit in my lap like he does in the afternoon's I'm off work and started glowing.

Can anyone explain?

Togedemaru! The first time I met one was at a camp retreat as a kid. We were learning about science and engineering history. We all got to handle the pokemon, but the one that stuck out to me was the lil ball of steel. They're surprisingly soft when they aren't in spikey mode.
I've seen posts like this gain quite a fair amount of traction before, so, ahem,
People of Rotomblr, what is your favorite steel type pokemon?
Mine is Copperajah, of course. A sentimental pick, really. I'd love to hear about other's opinions as well.
