I saw someone claim that transautistics steal resources, which is a common argument against transabled people in general. And, you know what, that really pisses me off. What resources, pray tell, are transautistics stealing from me? Disability payments that the government is not even giving to cisautistics like myself? School accommodations that I never really received? A financially inaccessible AAC device? Fucking stim toys? Why are we blaming transautistics for 'stealing resources' when these things are held over our heads by SOCIETY ITSELF?

I think that's part of what's so irritating about antis: they act like someone saying they're transautistic is on the same level as the psychiatric abuse, neglect by teachers, and lack of peer connection that I faced as an autistic entity growing up. And, make no mistake, it isn't.

I often talk about reality checking and going along with it when helping someone deal with delusions, but I felt as if I didn’t really make it clear to what I meant when I said it.

Lines of thought that seem Normal but are actually rooted in extreme puritanism:

-Seeing the nude human body is inherently traumatic -Sex scenes in art are pointless -Wearing kink-related clothing in public is the similar to performing a sex scene in front of unwilling participants -Depicting female characters expressing sexuality is always degrading -People's sexual fantasies are always an endorsement of the behavior they want to see in real life -Sex work is more traumatic and coercive than other types of work The goal is to treat sex as just another thing people do. I feel like the radqueer community has totally twisted what “low-empathy” actually means.

“I’m not going to tag triggers because I don’t have empathy and it’s not *my* job to manage *your* triggers.” “I’m pro-anything and everything because I straight up don’t care about others and you can’t make me.” “I’m neutral on rape because I have low empathy for victims” etc etc etc.

Low-empathy is about feelings. Whether or not you internally feel something when bad things happen to other people. It’s about thoughts, not actions. Once you incorporate those thoughts into your real-world political philosophy that’s just called being a shitty person.

I could say "intersex babies shouldn't be forcibly put through surgery to make them "normal" and amab babies shouldn't be circumsized when they're too young to understand consent laws, age of diagnosis leads to individuals not getting the support/care needed because of a number on a birth certificate, child protective services/department of education/adjacent teams need to be revised to actually support/care for children" etc. and everyone agrees...but as soon as I say child consent laws need revision; everyone goes WILD.

Children being able to consent ALSO includes the right to say no! Taking away someone's right to consent is taking away someone's autonomy in the same way babies are allowed to be mutilated, left to bleed in their nappies, oftentimes pissing and shitting on the open wound. "Consent" DOESN'T just go for sexual interaction - and frankly consent NEEDS to be taught if that's the conclusion individuals have come to, and to make sure everyone understands how, and when to put boundaries in place!
