The dorm is weirdly quiet for once. Beomgyu’s out with friends, Yeonjun and Soobin are buried in some project at the library, and Huening Kai swore he’d be back in an hour but you’re pretty sure he got distracted by snacks at the convenience store.

So it’s just you and Taehyun in the living room, which almost never happens.

The TV is on, playing something you’re not really watching. He’s stretched out on the couch, one arm along the backrest, legs sprawled comfortably. Every so often you feel his eyes flick over at you when you laugh at something on your phone or shift closer. Eventually, the space between you shrinks enough that one thing leads to another.

His lips are warm and steady against yours, not rushed but not hesitant either. He tastes faintly like peach tea—of course—and his hand rests on your waist like it belongs there. Your fingers are already tangled in his hair, messing it up more than he’d probably allow in public. The rest of the dorm, the TV, the outside world—it’s all gone.

You break away for a second, smiling, catching your breath. And before you can stop yourself, you murmur:

“Mm… my Kitty.”

It slips out half-teasing, half-affectionate.

Taehyun stills. His brows knit, and he leans back just enough to look at you properly. His lips are pink from kissing, his hair pushed out of place.

“…Kitty?” His voice drops lower, like he’s not sure he heard you right.

You press your lips together, then nod. “Yeah. Kitty.”

For a second he just stares at you, then lets out a quiet laugh, shaking his head. “You can’t be serious.”

You grin. “Dead serious. You’re basically a cat. Pretend you don’t care, but you love attention. You’re soft… but you can bite if you want. And you’re cute. My Kitty.”

He drags a hand down his face, muttering something under his breath, but you catch the tips of his ears turning pink. “I cannot believe you just said that in the middle of making out.”

“Why not?” you tease, leaning closer again. “It suits you.”

Taehyun exhales sharply, somewhere between exasperated and amused. His hand tightens slightly at your waist, grounding. “Do you know how hard it is to keep a straight face when you call me something like that?”

You whisper it again, softer, brushing your lips against his: “Kitty.”

This time he doesn’t laugh. His eyes flicker, and he kisses you harder, pulling you closer until you’re nearly on top of him. The shift is subtle but unmistakable—less playful, more heated. His teeth catch on your bottom lip before he murmurs against your mouth, “You’re playing with fire.”

You smirk. “Why? Don’t like it?”

His eyes narrow, but there’s no real bite behind it. If anything, it’s fond. “Didn’t say that,” he replies, voice low. “I just don’t think you realize what you’ve started.”

Your heartbeat picks up, but you hold his gaze. “Guess you’ll have to show me.”

For a long moment, he studies you, chest rising and falling a little unevenly. Then he chuckles softly, almost to himself. “Unbelievable. You really just called me Kitty.”

But when he kisses you again, deeper this time, steadying you with both hands like you’re something fragile he still wants to consume, it’s obvious he doesn’t hate it at all.
