Radiohead | Give up the Ghost
Don't hurt me Don't haunt me Gather up the lust in your soul In your arms, in your arms Gather up the pitiful In your arms, in your arms What seems impossible In your arms, in your arms I think I have had my fill In your arms, in your arms I've been told to give up the ghost into your arms Into your arms

Back against the wall and odds
With the strength of a will and cause
Your pursuits are called outstanding
You're emotionally complex
Against the grain of dystopic claims
Not the thought your actions entertain
And you have proved to be
A real human being, and a real hero
If this isn't the anthem for Bruce Banner, then I forfeit.

Most people listen to this and think of relationships and, yeah, I guess I am one of those people.
Except, in this case, it's probably Bruce's parents I think of first; Brian and Rebecca Banner. Then later it's Bruce and Betty, only because of Hulk. Then you can even say it's partly Hulk and Bruce and their ... orbit. It's not a relationship, really, it's something else with those two.

Open up your box of secrets, take one out for me
The lyrics work for Bruce and I feel like the beat would probably catch Steve's interest. It makes me smile like a lunatic to imagine Steve's workout playlist is filled with remixes and electro-swing.
I have to thank a-necessary-fiction and msgryz for introducing me to Electro-swing.
I wish I could upload more than once a day.

Tragedy - Cover by Celldweller
Here I lie in a lost and lonely part of town
Held in time in a world of tears I slowly drown
Going home and I just can't make it all alone

Chasing the Cure - Kerry Muzzy
If Bruce Banner had his own conspiracy movie, this would be the trailer music.
A minute long montage that starts with the perfect life in rural where ever, then a tragic accident. Things aren't what they seem and the people that he trusted have vanished. He's alone now, except for that feeling that he really isn't, that someone is following him and he can't get away.

Baby Can I Hold You Tonight - Tracy Chapman
Okay, I should really explain this one, because otherwise it's just really fucking pretentious. Maybe explaining it makes it more pretentious, I don't know.
I like the idea of strife in this relationship, at the beginning. I like that it's something they will have to constantly work at, tend to and patch up, because the good times are always so much better for it.
Similar to how sprockets and cogs have teeth, so too do their personalities. They developed hard, jagged edges to their personalities, things that are were necessary for them to function alone. But, because of that, they ended up catching on one another like gears in a chain, fitting together like parts in a clock. They just work together.

Starfish - Sister Hazel
Alternatively, here is the Acoustic version. It may actually remind me of Gyzym's fic, The Only John Wayne Left in This Town and if you haven't read that, do yourself a favor and get on it.
