This is a conversation with God about what it means to be a queer person, what it feels like to be queer and black in a tiny town in VA. It’s who I am. I’m very proud of it. i noticed recently that there were a lot of “covers” of my song “slow dance” that was on adventure time by cis dudes on streaming services with millions of plays, cis men covering this song completely removes the context of what it means. it’s a trans love song about a they/he person (me) loving a girl. it’s not just a song on a tv, it’s a song that has deep meaning to me.

the video for Broken Wing is finally out. this is the first video i’ve made that has come entirely from my own mind and mine alone. I used my own hands to create a sculpture. Spent hours crafting a story built from longing and loss. Envisioned every scene. All of it is me. I’ve never worked so hard on anything. i’m extremely proud of this creation, it expresses exactly what i meant for it to. thank you so much to everyone who helped me bring it to life. i am very thankful i am able to create art so uncompromising and true to me.
