The way watch you when you’re not looking. Not in a way that asks for anything, just in quiet awe, like they’re trying to hold onto the shape of you a little longer.

There’s a stillness to them when you’re near, less like tension and more like the world's pausing. Like the universe exhales for the first time in hours. You speak, laugh, shift slightly in your seat, and something flickers behind their eyes. Not longing that demands, but one that waits.
