my problem with how “grooming” is used and this is illustrative is it just feels like it’s always about propounding ideas of abuse damaging victims irreparably for life given a progressive guise. you have been “groomed” so it colonizes your brain so you are incapable of realizing you are being or have been abused and it means any affection you had for a perpetrator borne of the necessary adaptations of survival or the fact that perpetrators are also often family and loved ones means you are a gullible bamboozled brainwashed pitiable dummy or your sexuality has been overwritten so you can never meaningfully consent to anything anyone anywhere might disagree with ever again and all your attractions are suspect and pathological forever. it’s ok to outright say this or imply this constantly because you can’t possibly know better, because you were “groomed.” and it’s everywhere. lol!

In the movie Call Me By Your Name there is a scene where a character looks into camera and basically says "the experience you have just had is both beautiful and heartbreaking, it will live with you forever in ways that are both good and bad, but to avoid heartbreak is to avoid living and to shut out love. we can neither flatly condemn nor condone the central relationship" and everybody talking about the movie on the online are talking about whether or not the movie is flatly condemning or condoning the central relationship
