it boggles me that minecraft youtubers have so much reach, so much influence- got a million companies and people falling over themselves to partner with them. and they STILL can’t make figurines that look good. you are literally an incredibly coveted figure that could do so much shit with your money and influence. and you are making a fucking YOOTOOZ????????? are you insane. are you fucking crazy. RWBY can make half decent figures. FUCKING RWBY. a goddamn roosterteeth show. but minecraft youtubers are still pumping out shit that is broken from the get go and has a zero production quality. you could get better shit from TARGET. and it’s being sold for 65$?????? It’s friday, I’m in love!

There’s something about the gradual Hermitfication of Grian that is kind of satisfying.

Season 6 Grian passing Cleo making her pirate ship and FREAKING out because “It’s only episode one!” vs Season 8 Grian immediately killing the Ender Dragon episode 1 just because he wants the egg.

The beginning of Season 6 where his flying is so bad that it’s comical vs 4 years later where he is considered the best flyer on the server. Has created several flight related mini games and has a fierce reputation for his flying skills that extends far beyond Hermitcraft.

The evolution of his starter bases, where he starts by taking over a ship wreck and then next season he digs a hole in the side of a hill and progresses to the point where by season 8 and 9 he has created full structures, completely unique buildings that have gradients and details and full blown interiors.

The evolution of his MEGA bases. Season 6, where he’s just full on winging it. Season 7 where he spends the break actually planning out a structure in his testing world. Season 8 where he takes a week and goes on an actual IRL tour to get inspiration for his buildings. And now season 9 where his builds are all connected with intertwining lore.

His Nether portals. He starts out season 6 with big aspirations for his portal but eventually scraps his original ideas because “it’s not practical” or easily accessible without elytra and he ends up just building a basic one on the ground floor instead, and then what does he do season 9? Builds a massive floating portal in mid air that is completely inaccessible without elytra and is otherwise the most impractical thing on the planet.

His PVP progression. Season 6 Grian stating that he’s bad at PVP and wins purely by outsmarting his opponents with traps etc and Season 9 Grian now holding the title of Lord Dreamslayer.

The CHAOS. Him starting his first ever Hermitcraft episode stating that he doesn’t want to step on anyones toes, isn’t going to cause overly much chaos because he’s new VS. him 4 years down the line with SEVERAL wars under his belt, he himself as the instigator of said wars.

Just his gradual progression from one season to the next is kind of interesting to see
