I took out my final loans for school. I had typed up a bunch of feelings about this new stupid bill, but the bottom line is that we students are not responsible for the cost of our education. This will not force med schools to lower their tuition. It will only force out a number of qualified individuals because of their socioeconomic status.

Oof the anxiety is strong today.

I'm on my home sub-I. And some of the residents asked me if I wanted to stay... and I should just say yes.

Overthinking everything I've said today. I just... agh

ugh my cholesterol has been high at my last 3 visits. According to my ASCVD I have a lifetime risk of 39%.

I was hoping with some weight loss that it would go down. Guess I'm going to have to cut back on dairy (my fave)

My A1c was 5.1% which is hilarious given how much sugar I eat.

Turns out I'm not a huge fan of the ICU. It's very mentally draining being totally unaware of what's going on.

I get a long weekend to recover. Then 10 more days on shift (counting 1/2 days with didactics). Journal presentation on Wed.

working on one more presentation for the end of the rotation. Almost done with my modules

I start in my city's pediatric hospital tomorrow - in the CVICU.

I am PUMPED.

I asked a fellow for tips on CHD repairs because there's a lot of surgeries that still go by the name of the surgeon who developed them.

The things these surgeons do to these hearts... incredible.
