Shark of Bastar - Bogh fish .....! In river Indravati of Bastar, Bastar Shark was known to be abundant, but due to excessive hunting, it has now reaching the brink of extinction . This fish grows up to 150 kg in weight. Iron trap is used to catch this fish, because it bites the common tract with its teeth so it is called Shark of Bastar. "Bogh"is actually catfish. People from Kuduk community living on the Indravati river worship this fish. Bodhaghat village of Barasur is situated on the name of Bodh fish. This fish is sold in the market for a price of up to two thousand rupees. Despite being out of water for 24 hours, this fish remains alive. Apart from Indravati in Bastar, there was also a sense of fishery in the Kotiari river, but now the fish is often seen there. Apart from Brahmaputra and Godavari , Bogh fish is found in the Indravati river in Bastar from the bottom of the Chitrakot waterfall till the confluence of the Indravati river.
