There is something to be said about the plot line that purgatory is all instinct and pure action of survival without the normal humanity/morals getting in the way and yet all Dean did in purgatory was look for Cas. Like yeah he killed monsters in the process but it was widespread knowledge among the monsters that he was only doing that bc 1. They were hunting HIM of course and 2. He was looking for info about Cas. It’s just wild to me that in a place where it’s basic instinct and survival, Dean’s instinctual survival tactic is find Cas. And because there are no other issues to worry about from the normal outside world (like Sam or the safety of all humanity for example) he can do this without interruption of feeling guilty. Do you get what I’m saying here
