Big fan of Ted Lasso's huge love of spiritualism, ghosts, signs, fate, religion and wishes without making it a whole deal and just casually... Living with it without getting rid of people's own need to be the ones in charge of their lives.

Something about the show telling you that both spiritualism and free will can coexist, often using it to find yourself and guide you rather than letting it take control of your life... That just sits so right with me.

Trent Crimm (The Independent) is the character of all time, actually. A Queer British sport journalist who finds out is gay (and genderqueer, based on whatever James Lance says about Trent whenever he has the chance. #Non-binary-In-Male-Fields) in their forties having a wife and a daughter.

Then quits their job bc they're so infatuated by the new american football coach it actually affects their career, literally deciding to change their whole life to work alongside him writing a book ABOUT HIM ("about the team" yet names the first draft after him). When the flirting doesn't work because the american is too oblivious (because casually mentioning to love your chats, quitting your job for him and offering him a ride while also forgetting your car keys in the middle of the tangible excitement to talk to him isn't enough) just write a book.

They also decide to become a safe space for the closeted gay footballer of the team, but it has to be by following him in the middle of the night into a gay pub instead of just... Talking.

Not to mention the hair, the walking, the serving cunt in the most little creature way possible, and the t-shirts along with the rainbow mug (that just casually appears when they detect another gay near them).

So does anyone have detailed criticism on why people hate 13 and their era or is it just "lame writing!!" without any further explanation with sparkles of misogyny and misunderstanding of the characters

bill is so funny to me. like clara knew what genre she was in but bill? homegirl is clearly living in an indie coming-of-age queer college movie and the doctor keeps trying to get her to help him defeat horrors. she's got an essay to write. girls to kiss. she doesn't have time for this shit man.
