billy would have such freakish bed hair. like youd think that there would be a monster under that black hair of his. and yeah when he lived alone and didn't anything to do, nor did he have a comb to take care of it he didn't really care about it

i mean?? its just hair right? i mean yeah his hair would get tangled in all sorts of ways but he didn't care. at least he tried combing it when he got his job ! and powers... and.. yeah

but his captain marvel form always had impeccable hair that resembled so much like his dads! always so neat and tidy! so, its not like billys bed hair would shift onto captain marvels when he transforms, right?? and captain marvel couldn't even sleep, he had the stamina of atlas!

well ..

i guess the gods wanted to be cheeky one day, and decided to do a little something. when billy woke up, he was immediately greeted by a signal for a meeting at the watch tower. yeah, he was particularly grumpy about that, but its not like he could complain. he chose this job siigh

he says the magic word, not thinking of getting ready for the day really, and gets into the small photo booth (aka, the veta tube). he doesn't notice anything was wrong until he comes into the meeting room, his face with the same smile as ever, but the most people in the room suddenly had eyes on him. huh???

superman, who was initiating the meeting, cleared his throat. "uh, captain. your.. hair?"

captain marvel blinked, before turning to the first reflective surface they had (the table. But, captain just rubbed on that one spot of the table in front of him vigorously until it was sparkly and shiny) and seeing it. Oh my gods. (Speaking of gods. why hadn't he heard from any of them?)

his hair?? it was an absolute mess. his somewhat tame hair in his captain marvel form was the opposite of tame now!!

he gets. really REALLY embarrassed about it internally, but only looks a bit sheepish on the outside really. "sorry mr superman sir. bed hair. didn't notice until someone pointed it out.."

eventually, people stop looking at his godawful bed hair and focus on more important subjects on the meeting. captain marvel probably would get teased a ton about this after this day,,,

but secretly, it honestly somewhat humanizes captain marvel in the JL members eyes ,,, like. dude he's literally demi-god(or a god??? they're still betting on anything) that can literally probably but wont ever bench press you?? who can be very scary when he needs to be because most of the time he's like the most positive member there??? and he shows up with the most SILLIEST bed hair imaginable???? was that even bed hair??? captain marvel SLEEPS??

anyways, as much as it is funny, it was a reminder that captain marvel did experience human things like the rest of them. so that was nice!

(billy swears on his two nickels he heard cackling of most of the gods combined after the meeting was over. letting him swim in his own humiliation. >:c)

- School sukz but girldad says he gotta go -100 points

- The playground is awesome sauce. #NeverStopDigging +40 points

- Nobody has punted him like a footedball -20 points

- Got candy for promising to not cuss anymore +3 points

- The big thing in the sky hurts his eyes +45 points

Additional point: I dont think this is canon for the "main au" but I love Lancer like anybody else who's been made aware of him like some kind of memetic disease-- So he can have his own au of the au. Au² where everyone can go to the light world!!!!!!!
