CATHERINE: I'll go there right from the precinct. Oh, and tell JT that I'm thinking about him!

VINCENT: We got each other, we got our future. A normal future, okay? And I do not want to risk losing that ever again.

CATHERINE: Neither do I. I love this, Vincent. I love our life together.

VINCENT:  Okay. Well, then stop worrying that something's gonna come along and mess it up, okay? We won't let it. I-I will definitely not let it.

CATHERINE: I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop.

It is understandable why Catherine seems  nervous, despite her life has been wonderful and beast-free in the last two months.The last two seasons have shown us you need "to wait for the other shoe to drop" because things aren't always going to be roses and flowers. Vincent says that the agents from last season must’ve been lying about the new creatures because they haven't heard anything. He is optimistic, hopeful and determined to secure their peaceful future.

VINCENT: God, that sounds weird, doesn't it? Dr. Keller?

CATHERINE: No. It sounds perfect. It sounds normal. You worked really hard to get reinstated. You deserve to have your life back after being sidetracked.

VINCENT: We deserve it.

CATHERINE: It's almost too good to be true.

We  know and, even better, Catherine knows that their simple bliss won’t last...

First day of work for Vincent: he checks himself out in the mirror and Catherine puts a stethoscope around his neck. I find it ironic and clever that Catherine gives him a stethoscope so that he doesn’t have to rely on his beast hearing.

Cat and Vincent are having a normal morning routine as a couple. The alarm wakes Vincent and he clicks it off (they set their alarm for six minutes before seven. Randomly normal, cute thing). He kisses Cat cheek and wakes her. I loved this scene of Vincent and Cat waking in bed together and his sexy greeting: he whispered "good morning" to her ... They get up and fix breakfast together. VinCat is a seemingly happy couple enjoying an ordinary life. It is such a sweet moment between these two people who have been fighting to be together. They smile with their “goofy” smiles, they are playful,... normal.

They kiss and he grabs her up and she wraps her legs around him. She strips out of her jacket helped by Vincent...

The way he grabbed her, their stares, Catherine  provoking him...

How can they have such intense chemistry?

My favorite line during the opening rooftop scene:

VINCENT: "So how long you got?"

CATHERINE: "That depends. How long can you last?..."

The way KK delivered that line while having her neck nibbled on was so seductive!

Vincent races across rooftops and growls, beast mode, as he leaps. Catherine is racing down the road driving her blue Mustang (with sirens blaring and lights flashing)...  Catherine is racing...  Finally you see her hurrying to get into her roof and she looks around. Vincent (who you think is a suspect) is running faster than the speed of light and he pulls himself back to human when he jumps on Catherine's roof

Italian Title: La Bestia di Wall Street

Beast of Wall Street is the 1st episode of the Third Season, and the 45th episode overall.

The premiere of season 3 of Beauty and the Beast, as the premiere of season 2, starts with the episode written solely by Brad Kern. The directorial execution was provided by Jeff Renfroe last seen sitting in the director's chair during episode 2x18: "Cat and Mouse".

The premiere picks up two months after Cat and Vincent’s last showdown with Gabe. Vincent was reinstated as a Doctor and  he and Catherine seem happier than ever. To make everything even more perfect, we learn that he intends to ask Cat to marry him, as soon as he finishes his first day back to work.

There is only one problem... The government agents from S2 finale stalking Catherine by phone, wanting their services, hers and Vincent's, as duo for fight people with superhuman strength that are hurting other people. It seems someone has continued the experiments that turned Vincent into a “beast” and the latest version of the program is a super-fast and super-strong  person  on a killing spree in New York City. Cat isn’t completely against the idea because she is convinced that they have a greater destiny to fulfil, but Vincent just wants to live a normal life.

JT is still recovering from his near death experience and hasn’t been able to mentally recover. It turns out that Tess isn’t the most patient girlfriend of the world. She is tired of JT’s self-pity  and tells him to snap out of it and start living instead of wondering why he didn’t die.

Heather is getting ready for her wedding. Here, we see a mature Heather who actually cares about her sister’s problems and gives her some sound advice.

In a nutshell, the beginning and the end bookmark the episode nicely. And what better way to start and end things with the rooftop: an iconic spot for our favorite couple?! The beinning of BatB S3 episode 1 is HOT, but the ending is SWEET!! It begins and ends with VinCat loving being together and, as T.S. ELIOT says in the poem, "EAST COKER", " In the beginning is my end..."

On that waterfront bench, Vincent and Catherine kiss while the water flows on the notes of the poignant melody of "LATCH", beautifully sung by NATALIE TAYLOR. Absolute perfection.

Season 2: Déjà Vu

Vincent asks what she thinks about Agent Thomas’ offer, but Catherine just wants to sit and enjoy the present with Vincent, looking out over the river, in each other’s arms, without a care in the world, for once. Catherine wants a small window of time to be their "normal" and to be happy together, not worrying about the future. Maybe she won't have long to NOT worry about that...

VINCENT: You know, Catherine, if it wasn't for you, I wouldn't be here right now. I... I'd just be like all the others.

CATHERINE: What do I get out of it?
