Hello! A lowkey Bea Arthur fan here..
I just discovered her as Maude Findlay that's why it is my favorite role of her. Does Bea have interviews in Maude era especially with Rue?
btw I'm femme lesb and I love seeing them together, I can feel there's a chemistry between them aside from being close friends.
I am currently diagnosed with depression and seizure disorder, but they are my happy pill, especially Bea 🫶🏼
Hello,
I don't remember about interviews at the time if Maude, but you can look through #interview tag to see what is here.
About happy pill, I agree personally. Bea helped me a lot during bad period of life.

Golden Oldies: The Facts of Life parody episode
(S9E11)
A. "Dorothy's" ex-husband is Harold played by *drum roll* Bill Macy who was husband of Bea Arthur's (original Dorothy) character Maude in TV Maude in 1970's.
B. Harold is a character of 1971 film Harold and Maude. (I know about the existence of the film because of the tag Maude on Tumblr.)
The episode went as deep as to connect Dorothy with Maude, or it was done accidentally? Bill Macy as a part of the episode make me doubt about accidentally.
(I haven't watched the episode yet.)
Photos can be seen in an external article HERE.

Do you have any other blogs? Your blog reminds me a little of a blogger I used to follow that had a lot of love for older ladies, Maggie Smith, the film Madschen in Uniform, and had a lesbian blogger. Naturally followed because I love Bea and am also a lesbian. Forgive the assumption but just wondering.
Yes, what you mean is @maggie-natalie-smith and @dorothea-wieck

Most of what I know about The Golden Girls is from Tumblr (for most of time, it had been gifs and screenshots with text in both cases.)
It needs to be made normality that
a fan of a character doesn't mean a fan of a story they are from.
#not (nearly not) a second-hand 'fandom' but far from enjoyment as TV Series to watch#this fan site is not 'if it's popular then it's here' or something rare only#if somebody related isn't pleasant to look at them no posts (here are several actresses)#the first something with Bea I watched in its entirety was Star Wars two pieces from Holiday episode#it's short (under 10 minutes) and this was the reason I guess#surprisingly or not Ackmena became one of few top favourite characters#Bea Arthur#The Golden Girls

Do you like m*a*s*h?
Except an explanation several years ago about what the acronym means—something about army, as far as memory serves—I know nothing at all.

why isnt betty white welcome here lmaooo
In the past, the answer would be, "Because I'm not a fan definitely." Since the first time of seeing various photos of The Golden Girls for the first time in 2011–2, she was a no.
But here is much more. Betty White is known as sweet person (sickeningly sweet is more correct, in my opinion.) Soon after her death near the end of 2021, her true colours came to light.
Some posts about TGG rare facts on warious sites have the following . . . Estelle Getty's memory started to deteriorate, and she used to write some lines on her hand.
White used it to keep popularity. TGG was filmed in front of live audience, and during pauses, she used to go to fans and talk to them, and she dared to share very secret fact about her wonderful co-star.
At least one person ignored this horror completely as to stay in show business for so long one needs to do something. (Not exact words, but very close to real opinion.)
Bea Arthur and Rue McClanahan (separately) called Betty White C word as the response for her devil actions. A traitor, no less. And the reason was definitely not that Bea hated White's positive attitude. (If positivity only as "I know what you did, traitor, how can you dare to be happy afterwards?")
Bea and Rue were right.

i've been scrolling through your archive and let me just say i love your blog! you have so many gifs of bea from stuff i've never seen before! do you still know where i can watch them? i'm especially interested in the gifs you tagged under entertainment tonight because i never saw bea on ET. thank you!
Thank you :)
Content such as Entertainment Tonight was on YouTube at the time. If it's not there anymore, maybe DailyMotion has something. If not, use any search engine to search for whatever is under videos tab.
Also, if you know what a torrent is, you can search for whatever torrent. (ThePirateBay is one of the sites if search somewhere specifically.)
EDIT: I've found full Entertainment Tonight episode (in parts) saved somewhere online. I'll upload it all on Google Drive and add the link here.

Maude's S1E11 "Maude's Reunion (with her high school friend)
Phyllis: No, really, Maude, really, you are a striking woman. Maude: Well, thank you, Phyllis, but, but you, I mean—you're stunning!
This is a solid reason for a ship.
(Re: previous post. I decided to check out another reunion as well, and it has something interesting.)

"Just watched season 1 “Maude’s Reunion” and I gotta say that if both of those never happen, she and Katie Malloy would have been a cute couple."

Bea Arthur and Barbara Rhoades as Maude Findlay and Maggie Gallagher (Maude, S6E24)
Truth is truth. Maude and Vivian could be a couple, but it didn't happen while Maude and Maggie in the final episode are just a teasing preview of their happy future together.

Please make this blog active again, huge Bea fan here 🥺
All right, but to any person who's reading this, don't expect something rare and edits. If anybody's looking for new TGG posts, Tumblr has some blogs with updates.
A post is to be posted today.

Do you know where I can find Maude bloopers? None are included in the DVD set. Dick Clark once did a blooper show in 2002 called "More Classic TV Bloopers" that apparently featured one from Maude but I can't find it anywhere.
I don't know as well. Good luck with your search.

What was Bea's relationship with the alcoholic, womanizing, bisexual theatre goddess, Tallulah Bankhead? Bea said in her one woman show in 2002 that she worshipped Tallulah. She also told a story about Tallulah saying we're all a bit gay and that genitals don't matter, attraction is all in the eyes. Bea told this story many times. It's almost as if she was trying to tell us something about her own ambiguous sexuality.
All I know is that Bea hated the fact that Tallulah Bankhead said about bony structure (somehow a hint that she was beautiful and Bea wasn't.) It was at the time of Ziegfield Follies (or however to spell it correctly) in 1950's.
Off topic, but Tallulah was very "free" (i.e. had various lovers.) To a lover ~ "I'll be later/If I'm later, start without me." O_o & hahaha. I can't forget this for more that 10 years, and I had no idea about two women above then.

To the anon asking for examples of Bea checking out Rue, watch the Golden Girls episode Journey To The Center Of Attention and watch Bea's reaction when Rue takes off her coat to reveal her red dress. Also, watch the entire Maude series. Bea CONSTANTLY checks out women on the show. I was very surprised to notice this.
Thanks :) Now I really want to watch Maude and look for Bea checking women out.
Here you go, anonymous.
