#acrylic painting#painting#art#artists on tumblr#still life#I sold some prints of these at a market last year and they went over really well! more liked than I thought#oh also at that market a guy came up to the table (he was another vendor) and was like explaining my art to another guy#but used she her pronouns for the artist not realizing I was the artist I guess? so uh 💅 enjoy my girl art#he was very focused on the colours / colour relationships? so I imagine he had some weird idea about colour use and gender#it was all very funny to me tbh shout out to that guy for giving me a memorable story from one of my first markets#also I have nicer scans of this one somewhere but I don’t feel like digging them up

Another lure! I think I captured the texture better on this one

This one doesn’t have a title or anything, it’s just a watercolour sketch of some apartments I covet by the marina in the town I live in. I did it last year, I think, and though the colours aren’t ‘pretty�� per say, I like it!

‘Quilted Chicken’, gouache on grey paper, 2024 (April)
A painting from yesterday I did of a quilted chicken my partners grandmother made. It’s such a fun and interesting object, I really enjoyed deciding how much detail to render in the fabric strips.

Hello!
I’ve wanted a place to catalogue my art online for awhile now, and decided it was time to try, and tumblr feels like a pleasantly low stakes place to do that!
I have a backlog of work to go through but I won’t be posting in any particular order, it’ll be a mix of old and new.
I work primarily in acrylic but am venturing back into gouache, and though I work in other mediums as well I’ll primarily be posting those two.
