We all know I’m a sucker for Bangtan-in-space, but I loved this even more than I expected to! I love a good sci-fi story and a good horror story and this is both! The opening slow building menace is so good. You know that something is wrong, but the way that realization slowly dawns on the crew is both exciting and terrifying to watch. I especially like the flashbacks with the videos that being to unravel the mystery and build our investment in these characters before we find them. I also have a particular attachment to sarcastic engineer Yoongi (no surprises there). I read the first chapter and had to finish it all. Highly recommend!

I read this whole series last night! Couldn’t put it down. I almost missed this last chapter because it wasn’t on the masterlist, but then found it when I went to reblog the fic. 

I really love all three of the characters here and how they each have insecurities and flaws but still want the best for each other. Jimin totally won me over. I blame this fic for reinvigorating my Jimin crush. I loved this ending with the details of therapy and an honest look at the work involved at maintaining this kind of relationship.

A/N: Here we go, the “Official” ending. I will still eventually put out “Finale: Heartbreak” as an alternate version for those that wanted her to move on, as well as a small epilogue later on (will be nice and smutty and set in the future). For now, though, this is the end. It has been a very long journey with this fic as life often got in the way, and I thank (most of you) for being patient with me. I hope you learned a few things along the way. Each and every one of you is important and precious, never let anyone make you feel like you are a second choice or inferior. All relationships are complicated and communication is key no matter your dynamic. But especially so in polyamorous relationships. If anyone ever makes you feel like “the other” or “the third,” talk to them. If they won’t listen, leave. Your worth is not based on other people. You are worthy all on your own. Also, the weekly plan that my character follows is a real system that works. It was given to me by my counselor who I thought was a nut herself at the time, but it worked so well. I’m still working through a lot of stuff myself, but this weekly routine saved my life. 

It had only been a few months so far, but it felt like a lifetime. 

Seokjin and Namjoon had tried to talk you into staying with them, but you’d decided it would make you feel too guilty to rely on them like that and invade their space. Instead, you were now renting your own apartment. It came furnished and the lease was month to month so you could leave at any time. It felt nice though, having your own space, even if it didn’t allow pets. Especially once you’d been able to reduce Jin’s visits to no more than three times a week.

Whelp, I was up way too late into the night reading this. I’d been chipping away at it slowly over the last few days but once I got to the mistletoe, it became completely impossible to put down. 

I’m always impressed with Shanna’s ability to tackle many different genres, but I have to say, this is just the perfect holiday rom-com. It’s so cinematic in pacing and description, I could easily see this as a holiday Hollywood blockbuster. 

Lord this Taehyung is such a perfect male romantic lead while still feeling very much like himself. Thoughtful, funny, hot, artistic, well-dressed and has a big dick. I was pining for him for the whole fic.

I have long loved Tali’s work with AUs, but I just found this series and I need to commend it for how excellent it is at portraying a very realistic scenario. This fic is captivating for how well it captures all the day-to-day fears of dating and putting oneself out there. All the insecurities and hesitations of the main character really resonate and make her feel incredibly real. You see how badly she wants Hoseok (and honestly, with how hot and kind and charming he is here, who wouldn’t?) and you are just desperate for things to work out between them. Looking forward to when we get to some of the more risqué items on the warnings list. 😉

Review: One of the best and worst things about AO3 is the way that all traditional rules of fiction get thrown out the window and people can write literally anything. The topics that get explored are things you would never find in traditional fiction. This fic takes some very disturbing ideas and an opening pornographic premise and builds them into an incredible story about culture, love, duty and consent. Like the rest of Miralana’s fiction, both the characters and world are so thoroughly described and immersive that I couldn’t put it down once I picked it up. Heed the tag warnings, this fic does not pull its punches. But if the tags don’t upset you, I highly recommend this story. It will stick with you for a long time.

It seems that I have begun this series out of order, but it doesn’t matter because this slice was delightful in and of itself. Jin’s cockiness is infectious, and even though you completely understand the OC’s distain for him, you understand his appeal too. I was cackling about the dicks with photo filters. 

I think my favorite thing is the way little signs of Jin’s true feelings bleed through his bravado. How much he has missed her, the lengths he goes to arrange things, how much this last trist means to him, how he refers to it as a break-up and more than a hookup. 

Oh, and the whole thing is incredibly sexy. The tensions between each of the three of them as things unfold make the whole affair hotter. 

Crystallised is definitely on my to-read list now.

Review: One of the very first BTS fics I ever read in entirety. Sold me on the idea that fan-fiction could be truly compelling literature. I am such trash for soulmate AUs and this is my all-time favorite. The OC is so well-realized with her own flaws and struggles and you really feel for her throughout the story. I was hooked on her and the plot within minutes of starting this fic. This also has my absolute favorite fictional depiction of Jimin. The author did so much research to make sure this story lined up with BTS’s actual timeline in real life. It’s incredibly impressive.

GAH!!!! I’ve been dying for @noona-la-la-la to write a Hobi fic for literally years! YEARS! AND IT’S AMAZING!

There’s something so realistic about the depictions of relationships and attraction in noona’s work. I don’t what it is exactly. Maybe that things don’t always work out perfectly or that the flaws and obstacles are real. But it makes both the tension and the sex so much more gratifying. 

I love this depiction of carefree player Hobi. It both feels totally within his character and like a version of him I have never read before. I cackled so much over his explanation for his wardrobe choices. This fic was so fucking funny. I related so hard to the OC, both in her vague disgust with him and how she ended up in the bathroom anyways. I would have done the exact same damn thing. 

Flight 18

Summary:  Korean Air Flight 18 leaves daily from Los Angeles traveling to Seoul.  You’ve taken this flight before, but this time you’ve got an irritating passenger in the neighboring seat.  Little did you know that he would end up giving you the ride of your life.

Wordcount: 9500 ish.  This was only supposed to be a small drabble, but I got carried away.

Warnings:  Sex sex sex!  Oral sex for everybody.  Finger banging.  Penis in vagina. Sex with strangers! Sex in a bathroom so if you are germ phobic, good luck with that.  Also, dirty talking vulgarity galore.

Notable:  It’s Hoseok y’all!  So you can stop nagging me about how I don’t have any Hobi fics!

“See something you like?” The man sitting across from you at the boarding gate stretched out his hands and spread his knees further apart, as if inviting you to take a closer look.

“I… I’m sorry.  I was just zoning out.  I didn’t even realize I was looking in your direction,” you lied.  

“Uh-huh.  Sure.  Tell yourself whatever you need to, “ he replied with a smirk.

You ignored him, raising the book you had been reading higher, covering your face in an attempt to hide your embarrassment.  The truth was you had been staring, but not because you were attracted.  Instead you were appalled that anyone would show up to an airport dressed like that.

This guy, whoever he was, had shown up to the airport wearing shorts that appeared to be nothing more than a pair of gray sweats that had been cut off at the knees and a denim jacket that he had only bothered to use two buttons to close.  He had on no shirt underneath and with his jacket being barely closed, a large portion of his upper chest and his abdomen were visible.  His sweat-shorts were hung low on his hips to make sure the waistband of his Balenciaga underwear was visible for all to see.  A hat kept his hair completely covered – the only modest thing about him.

To think that guy would presume that you might be looking at him because you found him attractive was laughable.  He looks like the kind of guy who got kicked out of his apartment for not paying rent.  Probably couldn’t afford rent because he wasted all his money on stupid designer underwear.  His landlord probably kept the rest of his wardrobe as collateral.   

You stifled a laugh, amused by your own thoughts on why this stranger showed up to the airport looking like that.  Attracted to him? As if.

Hoseok checked over his shoulder again before turning back to the phone in his hands. It wasn’t like if someone were to come into his studio right now and catch him watching porn.

Hell, this was so much worse.

Especially considering how he was supposed to be working on the rap arrangement for the new song, and not checking out a piece of fan-fiction… If Namjoon were to catch him he was going to give him hell for days.

He had strictly advised the six of them against it several times, but to be honest Hoseok was to eager to find out what happened next to actually acknowledge the suggestion. Besides, he was he eldest of the two and it wasn’t like he had to listen to his band member. Joon was only the leader when the cameras were out. Inside their dorms he couldn’t even remember to wash the dishes when he was supposed to or take the clothes out of the dryer so they wouldn’t end up a crumble mess the next morning.

Also, it was all Jimin’s fault.

Gah! It’s adorable! Jaeah continues to be my favorite fictional small child ever. 

This game of footsie under the dinosaur pizza table is amazing. You set the scene so well, I can picture everything perfectly. Seems like just the theme restaurant that Jaeah would pick. I quite enjoyed seeing these two adults have a moment of flirtatious weakness. 

I know you warned us about this in the summary, but I REALLY WANT TO HAVE NAMJOON’S BABIES!! Goddamn it. I would give Jaeah that sister so fast.
