14 years ago I was, to my knowledge, a cis het man. I was very into tumblr sociopolitical discourse and fighting for my fucking life to explain to people that I agreed with basically all the most common radfem opinions of the time except for the "all men are inherently dangerous and bad" because that seems kinda fucking stupid and dumb, doesn't it? It's obviously a bad idea to make that a supporting pillar of the "women should be equal in society" movement, right? Attempting to say so just prompted smarmy replies of coffee mugs with "male tears" printed on them and accusations of being an incel MRA accompanying detailed paragraphs about why I'm a piece of a shit, to the point that openly identifying as a feminist while also believing that "all men are inherently dangerous and bad" was a harmful take just guaranteed that everyone was mad at me.

Now, as a fully out trans woman in 2025, that same damn pillar of ideology is a driving force in the culture war against my right to exist. There's currently a billionaire lobbying government and forming an organization specifically to harm trans women all while balanced atop that singular fucking pillar. Trans women, cis women, trans men, nonbinary folk, and if you looked hard enough probably cis men too, are all suffering from the real world tangible consequences of "yes all men" radfeminism.

Crazy how that works.

The fact that when I was a kid I was obsessed with Art Attack, Art Attack basically raised me, my biggest dream was meeting the presentator because of what a big part of my childhood he had been, and when I was 12 I found out he had killed himself when I WAS 2 YEARS OLD, because he couldn't get over the death of his daughter.
