Here's another Aikoto commission of Makoto and Aigis's reunion at the pier it was drawn by the amazingly talented Nie Xart, her art style suits the ship well, I think i'll keep commissioning from them

Here is yet another Aikoto commission done by the wonderful Starrei, it's essentially what I imagined the Episode Aigis art to be if they were standing up as well as an image that perfectly conveys P3.

This is my commission of Counter Guardian MAKOTO by Nie Xart I used some outfits from Code Vein because I thought it looked cool and well I always liked the idea for a crossover between Fate and Persona 3 where Makoto gets inducted into the counterforce.

Magnolia
There is this trope that i come across in various pieces of media, primarily in Japanese Media of a girl, that so mysterious and arrives at the moment where she is needed most by the protagonist usually at the lowest point of his life.
-She possesses exceptional beauty
-Usually blonde hair with Blue eyes, but exceptions do exist
-Her impact on the protagonist's life is big even if her presence within the protagonist's life is small.
-She's extremely kindhearted and brave and pure.
-Usually she suffers a lot/or dies at some point.
-Just from looks alone you can tell that is something mystical going on with her
-It made me think of Magnolia, The Laufey song
#SoundCloud#aigis#violet evergarden#rei ayanami#nia teppelin#jeanne d'arc#kaori miyazono#I know Saber fits the trope more but Jeanne is my favorite

Makoto and Aigis and the Underworld Story
In every piece of famous mythology there's always this tale called the Underworld Story.
To put it in simple terms, there are two lovers that deeply care about each other, and then one of them dies prompting the other lover to go to the afterlife/underworld to resurrect/retrieve or just hang out with their loved one.
Examples of this story include: Ishtar and Tammuz, Savitri and Sutyavan, Izanagi and Izanami, Orpheus and Eurydice.

Aigis and Makoto's relationship borrows this trope and parallels it, though moreso with Aigis more since her journey took place after Makoto dies
Let's see:
Makoto traverses Tartarus during the Dark Hour, Tartarus named after the deepest depths of the abyss in greek mythology, that was deeper than even Hades.

While Aigis dives into the Abyss of time, It's depths named after the circles of hell from Dante's Divine Comedy.
The names of these dungeons further ties themselves to the underworld story.
And Both in search of the Answer to Life.
Aigis's underworld story if it were to bring Makoto back to life, Much like Orpheus's ended in failure, However she did managed to have a happy ending unlike most of the tales I mentioned above, her finding the same answer as he did: Bonds.
The game suggests this by having her door, and by extension the deepest part of the Abyss of Time named Empyrean, after the highest level of Paradiso within Dante's divine comedy.
Empyrean
Within the divine comedy, Empyrean is a huge snow white rose made up of the infinite souls of the righteous, It is a symbol of divine love with God at the center.

Beatrice (Dante's Guide to Paradiso) at the end of the comedy can be compared to ??? As he is the figure guiding Aigis to Empyrean, and much like how Beatrice vanishes from Dante's presence taking her place in the heavenly choir, ??? dissolves after SEES beats him, showing that Aigis has completed the first step of her journey in acceptance of his death by confronting the manifestation of her grief (It also calls back to her dream of running after him but failing to catch up) and now has nothing but his love (what Empyrean symbolizes) guiding her decision to go back and find the meaning of his sacrifice later on.
And yes I believe this is all intentional symbolism as detailed in this book.
Special thanks to @theoneprecioustome

The Dutiful Woman
A Persona 3 story, Inspired by Violet Evergarden
A long time ago, In the combat effort against The Dark Hour, there was a particularly notable individual. Her sweet heart-throbbing voice had a nice ring to it, It matched her flawless beauty and gentle heart. She was no ordinary student, she was an anti-shadow weapon, with golden hair and blue eyes.
She used to go to Gekkoukan High School within the Tatsumi Port Island close to Iwatodai, a beautiful artificial island, It was a place that many would pass by without a second thought unremarkable and ordinary in many ways, its streets filled with the usual rhythms of student life, The island was owned and sponsored by the Kirijo company. At its helm was once the young student council president of the Kirijos that you might’ve seen featured in many news stories, an owner of an international conglomerate, one of the richest people in japan. Unbeknownst to the public however, a hidden battle raged, Shadows haunted a time unseen by ordinary eyes, and she, along with her companions, fought to protect those unaware of the peril.
Fourteen years had passed since then, The passage of time has a way of softening memories letting the truth slip between the cracks of years, the group that had saved so many lives in their efforts to combat the shadows had faded into the background, For a time their deeds were forgotten and none of this would be disclosed to the public until now, But in all the stories that could be told her story should be remembered as just that, a girl—just a girl—who carried out her duty with quiet strength and unwavering devotion. To say that she was a weapon would be to diminish her of what made her more human than many, if anything to say that being an anti-shadow weapon was just a small part of her life would be more accurate.
This Painting titled "The Dutiful Woman" has become one of the most renowned and cherished artworks to emerge from that region of Japan, First showcased in the Port Island Art Exhibition in 2011, It was a painting of the girl walking along the famous Moonlight Bridge with a blue butterfly leading her way, There were several discussions on who the girl in the picture is, what was she like?, what does she represent?, where was she headed?, what did the blue butterfly mean?. These questions linger in discussions, echoing from one admirer to another. Perhaps the true answers are lost to time, or perhaps they are known only to a few.
Exactly what kind of person was she?, Well....those that had met her said she was Breath-takingly beautiful both in form and in spirit, some say she had shown nothing to the world but kindness, some say their hearts were saved by her. and those closest to her spoke of her boundless loyalty to the one she cherished most, a love so deep and unshakeable that it transcended any duty she was built to perform.
Do you wish to meet her?, If your heart longs to know her, then I shall tell you how, all you need to do is give a call, you can search for her on the internet within the personnel of the Kirijo group, look under their defense division and you should find a number. Most likely a teal haired bashful woman will respond to your call in a formal manner of speech, when inquired on who you want to meet please say her name, You might be put on a waiting list, or questioned about your reasons for meeting her. But no matter how long it takes, that peculiar girl shall be sent your way.
As long as your wish for her is sincere, she will arrive soon enough.
"My name is Aigis and I will always be by your side"

Thank You
Where do I even start?, I think it was 2016 or 2017 (I forgot) when I first discovered your blog, I was looking for Official art of them and stumbled across your post in google images, I think it was a gif from the one where you addressed that their bond really didn't need a social link.
From then on It's been a spiral downward through the rabbit hole, I went through all the masterlists, all the translation notes the stuff you wrote about them in your metas, the parallels and so much obscure stuff I wouldn't've found on my own.
There's just so much dedication to documenting, analyzing material there, buying merch, reposting and reblogging fanart, and to keep it up for 10 years straight is nothing short of a labor of love.
And that's not to mention the amount of fun I had dicussing the ship on the discord server, every single day, finding likeminded people so passionate about them as i do discussing my favorite pairing was something i struggled to find out there in the wild.
I don't think I would've found out about the translations shenanigans that went on in Arena, How important the phrase "Precious Person" is and Everything about Aikoto in The Musical would"ve been forever lost to me.
I'm going to be honest, without you I think I wouldn't have enjoyed Aikoto as much as I do now, you really impacted this community in many ways, and I personally think you being so kind and respectful towards everyone has a lot to do with it.
I hope we can still remain friends after this, and that when you stumble across Aikoto fanart on twitter or Aikoto fics on AO3, You'll remember this little community you cultivated, I will of course.
I don't think I can ever truly remove Persona 3 and Aikoto from my life, It's really the most a piece of media and a ship has ever impacted me, The most I'll do is quit the fandom but with so many wonderful people in it that's not happening for a while.
Thank you so much for your hard work Kanae, I hope this community will never change and stay the same even after your retirement, above all please enjoy yourself out there, I'll miss you.
Oh and one more thing, I had this in my back pocket for a long while, and now I can finally show it off, make sure you treasure it.

It's been nearly 10 years since I started this blog, and even longer than that since I became a P3 fan. In that time, I've seen P3 get turned into movies and musicals, been featured in various collabs and Persona games, and now I even got to see Episode Aigis being remade and regaining its original Japanese name.
As an Aikoto fan, I couldn't be happier with all the love the ship and their characters have gotten through the years (we even got an entire opening! how incredible is that?) ❤️ So since my heart is full (and my free time severely lacking), this feels like the right time for me to conclude this little project of mine.
I started this blog as a personal archive of all things Aikoto, so they could be easily accessible for myself and for everyone who loves the ship as I do (or feels curious about it). With nearly 10 years of content, I'd say I've achieved that objective!
Of course, this doesn't mean I won't update it at all anymore. If something big happens Aikoto-wise and I hear of it, I'll be more than happy to get it on the blog. So please don't hesitate to send me a message if I miss something worth archiving from now on.
In the meantime, I've updated the Moments Masterlists as well as the blog's Tags, so that everything is hopefully as easy as possible to find!
Thanks for your support all these years! Take care everyone and may Atlus give us all even more Aikoto in the years to come ❤️
