Hi, I'm back in hakukai fandom after a break. Just wondering if you have headcanons on Superintendent Hakuba? (my friends and I call him 'hakudad'.) I just think it's kind of fascinating to think that this guy's son is dating a thief.

I, I don't actually because I tend to leave details that Gosho could fill in later vague so that whatever I've written don't get jossed too badly? LOL that's weird I know... but going from the manga I think of Hakudad as someone who puts on no airs (he laughs and calls Ginzo handsome) and spoils his son rotten (brings his son to the heist himself! heh!) So he's bit of a Father Christmas figure in my fics lol, I tend to characterise him as someone who's shrewd and sees everything but prefers to lift people up rather than put them down. I think I had him working his way up from the police ranks working actual cases so he's not just a bureaucrat, and that he and Hakumum is a love match (don't see why Hakumum would settle otherwise lol) but other than that the backstory can vary from fic to fic to make it fun ;) I've never really written him in-depth before, that's something to think about! Hope you are doing well mims ❤️❤️

hello, I just want to say I love everything you write for saguru and kaito. I don't mean to be forward but I'd love to talk about them with you sometime / swap headcanons / story ideas etc. I just. Every time I read something you write about them I have to lie down and think about how great the characterization. I think one of the best things about Hakukai is that Hakuba knows both Kaito and KID, so he grows to learn and love both sides of Kaito at the same time.  And I just think there’s something beautifully special about that.

Petition to make a HakuKai Week!

Spreading the word for my buddy XNicoWritesX, who doesn’t have a tumblr.

We’ve seen that there’s not only the multitude of KaiShin events, but also HeiShin week, CoAi/ShinShi week, and even KaiShinShi week, but despite SaguKai/HakuKai being just as popular on AO3, there isn’t a prompt week for it like the others! This is a tragedy for all fans of the ship, and it needs fixing. Therefore, we’re hoping to start a HakuKai Week!

If anyone is even slightly interested, please either reblog or make your own post about the topic so that it can reach enough people to actually happen! If you looked up the same week to participate and are disheartened by only seeing this post, don’t give up! Spread it around, and we might all get it to really happen! :D
