Mental health and a short hiatus

Content warning for suicide. Yeah.

This is a very atypical post for here, but a week ago, one of the closest friends of my girlfiend killed himself. Christmas is coming soon and I'd love you all to hug your loved ones extra tight. And tell them you love them, out loud. Especially if you rarely do. If you know somebody who struggles, even if they seem fine, be there for them. Remind them that they matter, that it is not hopeless, that they are not broken. Please.

And if you're struggling with suicide yourself, please remember - you're not alone. Talk to those who care about you, even if you feel like they don't. There was a group of roughly twenty friends at the funeral - close, distant and ones that he had lost touch with (that'd be me). There's people who love you in this world, you have a place in it. You matter.

I'm not too harrowed myself, but I am in no shape to write adult content and need to support my gf. I'll probably be back in January, but don't expect any activity, unless I'm really bored at Christmas.
