I got edges that scratch and sometimes I don't got a filter. But I'm so tired of eating all of my misspoken words— I got some dirt on my shoes. My words can come out as a pistol. I'm no good at aiming but I can aim it at you. I know my actions, they may get confusing but my unstable ways is my solution.

high off his mind, ben thought of doing what anyone would when they got a boatload of new drugs into their system and headed on out to a rave of sorts. the night started off slow, with him walking in and shouting his name to the attendees. he had already built a rep for himself so quite a few people shouted out at the mention of his name and went on to greet him with smiles and pats on his back. dragging him off to a corner they all sat around taking hits from each other and relaxing. he was comfortable and very much in his setting. after sitting for fifteen or twenty so minutes however, he got anxious to join in on the festivities. jogging on out to the crowd of party goers, he started dancing and making his calves go to work by jumping up and down at the beat of the dumbstep rumbling beneath their feet. at some point he found himself ripping off his shirt, swinging it above him. “ FUCK YEAH! ”

That nickname — Princess. It struck a certain familiarity within her memory that she couldn’t quite shake, until she finally recalled who it was that called her that; and in the same condescending fashion, too. Ben. Was she actually surprised, though? Selling at the masquerade event… definitely not. She hadn’t pieced it together, yet once the puzzle completed itself, she came to recognize vague features of his. Bellamy scoffed, “Isn’t it supposed to be your job to make me not so uptight with your magical collection? You’re a god awful salesman. Don’t quit your day job.” When she caught him disregarding her company now and surveying for new clients, she made it a point to stand in the way and act as an obstacle between him and whoever it was that he was looking at, with hands attached to her hips. Even through her mask, she held her glare so sternly it could kill; then again, she knew Ben indistinctly enough that such an angered look of her eyes wouldn’t intimidate him. “What do you think you’re looking at?”
Tumblr media
ben scoffed a chuckle as she ‘insulted’ his approach to his business. he wasn’t going to bother wasting time with a stubborn mule that she was. he figured it’d be an hour or so before she came back whining and bargaining for a hit. not to mention, the thought that he had a day job was even a thing. his family’s fortune paid his way in life for the next several years. he didn’t need a job and even if he did get one, it’d be head of his own share of the business, as big as it could get. he noticed her smart mouth become louder as she stepped in front of his view of someone who actually wanted what he giving out. ben sighed and stood up adjusting his suit’s buttons and looking to his left at something more interesting. before returning his gaze to her. “ apparently a really stupid girl, getting in the way of making me some money. ” he paused and copied her glare. “ sit the fuck down. ” his eyes were a complete ruse as he wasn’t even interested in giving a breath to her childish ways. he just came for the money and if she insisted in keeping him from that. he was going to make her sit.

She rolled her eyes at his horrific approach to persuade her into substituting her alcohol for a more powerful kick. As reckless as she has gotten in the past, call it her responsible side or possibly just her wits about her, but Bellamy was fully aware of the consequences she’d face if she’d been caught redhanded by the mayor — or any other higher ups that were collectively roaming the party, mingling with guests. She’d be a fool to be busted under the influence at the sacred masquerade ball; it wasn’t worth risking her college education, her job, or even her reputation in the face of government officials. “ Can’t be too many people if you’ve still got plenty of product left offering a sales pitch. How about you actually try to enjoy the event? — I know, what a crazy suggestion.”
Tumblr media
“ enjoy this shit of a shin dig? now that’s a crazy thought. ” he replied, rolling his eyes and keeping an eye out for a viable and willing customer. “ besides, the party has just begun, i have more than enough to sell for how long this thing is supposed to go for. ” he mentioned, looking to the doors as more people started flooding in. “ why don’t you come back to me, when you’re not so uptight, alright princess? ” he suggested, dampening his lips and meeting eyes with another potential.

Someone clearly had too much to drink already and while Avery always did her best to steer clear of such situations, she had to step in when she noticed the male getting handsy with the people around him. It was supposed to be a fun time, and the first thought that crossed her mind was that her brother may have given the young gentleman too much to drink or too much to enjoy . While she stepped in the middle of him and the person he was going after,  a part of her hoped she wouldn’t have to use violence as her ways to stop the male. Luckily a hand was placed on the male’s shoulder preventing anything other than slurred curse words being thrown around and soon after, he was being escorted out by the security. Looking back at the face that had managed to step in, Avery could only smile in response. With the masks on, it was hard to tell who had helped but she was thankful nonetheless.
“I honestly thought I was going to have to tase him, so thank you for that.” she added before looking out to make sure her bother wasn’t the one behind this.

ben was stuck laughing at a table in the corner of the ballroom as he watched one of the younger males make a complete ass of himself. he wasn’t to be held responsible for whatever his clients may do after they are sold his product. that was his motto and he stuck by it. everyone was affected differently by drugs and it wasn’t his problem that some can go bad. the strung out guy, kept trying to get women to dance with him and sometimes even a few guys. his stumbling feet were not at all appropriate for proper dance moves, so he soon gave that up and pulled the women close for a hug, if you can call it that. suddenly, a women in a pale dress started to address the high guest. he was confused as to what she thought she could do, not to mention she was ruining all the fun. some other guy later stepped in and escorted the man out. “ boo! ” he shouted, throwing a thumbs down in the air as a joke. he laughed once more before shaking his head and tending back to his drink.

The other received a quick side glance from Bell, until she returned her gaze upon the dance floor littered with multicolored strangers disguised behind masks that were either deceiving or made her question what the purpose was of even wearing a mask at all if you could see every bit of their face. “ Really? “ She detested surprisingly, though continuing to avoid eye contact while addressing him. “ And how many people have fell for that line tonight? “

ben chuckled and shrugged his shoulders while taking another drink of his rum. “ you’d be surprised. ” he replied, grinning like an idiot. he agreed that his strategy was weak, but with a place like this. if anyone heard that line, they’d open up their wallets in a flash. everyone who attended was invited by the rich and elite. when it came to getting drugs, they were all amateurs, which is why this made the perfect hunting ground. sure, he could be more discreet, just like some of these guests wanted, but most of them were young troublemakers who bought the stuff just to piss of the parentals, or employees who sucked up to their bosses and needed a hit or two to get them by.

ben sat in a chair with his arm outstretched to the next one as he looked on at the crowd. he hand a glass of rum in one hand, before tipping it back and gulping it back. anything to make this snoozefest a little more fun. looking over beside him, he spotted a nervous attendee and grinned. “ how you liking this thing so far, need anything to help make the time go by? ” he asked.

Ouch. It shouldn’t have hurt, considering that’s just how their father was, but being the only girl, she would have at least thought that he wanted to know about her? Rather than voicing those foolish thoughts, she stood there quietly, while ignoring the fact that he was going through her fridge. Oh like old times except, they were both mature and older now. She cleared her throat before turning to watch him as he went through her fridge. “Don’t tell anyone.” It was more pleading than anything else. She loved her family – that much was undeniable, but it was no surprise that she left for a reason. Her freedom. Being the only girl in the family, all she had were her brother’s eyes on her to make sure she wasn’t getting herself in trouble. Their father was never around for them, but he always had tight security around them. She remembered and while Ben was all too young to remember much, she knew that they were always being watched. She hated it, and what was the point if Ben turned out taking over the family business anyway? “Why couldn’t you just leave all this behind?” If he didn’t come for her, then the answer was obvious and again, it hurt a little knowing that she wasn’t important to her family. Perhaps that’s why they could never find her? Because they didn’t care? Hell, what if they already knew about her whereabouts but didn’t bother with her because she had made her choice? His judging comment about her wine only made her eyes roll. “You try talking to people with deep emotional problems.” she mumbled in response before walking up to him. “I have food in the oven and some beer, and since you’re not leaving anytime soon, then I want to know everything.” when he asked about how she had been helped, she remained silent. “I grew up around criminals who made hiding their living. It wasn’t that hard and I went to school, made a few friends who helped. But the person who planned it all out was mother.” she didn’t mean to just snitch out her mother like that, but if anything she did help her and it still confused her as to why she couldn’t protect Ben. Hell, why didnt she send him over to her? “Is she okay?” the only thought that crossed her mind were nothing but terrible thoughts. Was her family okay?
Tumblr media
“ i could care less to reveal your little escape plan. ” he murmered as she pleaded for him not to tell anyone about who she had become and where she decided to hide out. it was his way of saying that her secret was safe with him. afterall, she was his sister and he wasn’t a rat. even if it meant lying to his father, some things were more important. he shot her look as she asked why he couldn’t just leave it all behind. she should know why. even if she didn’t completely understand him and his motives. even if she couldn’t understand his undying loyalty to their father. she should know this was something he needed to do, it was something that he couldn’t just give up on. if she didn’t, then he didn’t even know why he called her his sister. or even why she would take the job she was currently attached to. he turned to look at her as she entered the kitchen along side him. “what’s for dinner? ” he asked with a grin as he made himself comfortable at her dining table. before his eyes drifted off to the ground. their mom was the one who hid annie all these years? his eyes glazed over and he ran his tongue along his back teeth. the tears he had forced down a year or two in advance threatened his emotional state, however he held his composure and met her gaze. “ annie, mom died. ” he announced simply. his voice was deep and rough due to forcing emotions down his throat. the thought of his mother’s lifeless body on the ground caused him to drop his eyes. there was a siege amidst a drug filled rivalry inside the mansion they had called home. it was a sunny day and everyone was doing their usual business when a voice crackled onto the radio of a nearby guard. the sound of a man gurgling on his own blood flashed off quickly. their father had been alerted and he called on the rest of the family, telling them that there were intruders. pulling out all the firepower he had, ben headed straight for the action. the house was quiet. silent as the news trickled around that they were under attack and soon. the blaze of gunfire erupted through the halls. it was a bloody battle, and they had lost a lot of manpower. the good news was that the enemy lost just as much. eventually, after all the bloodshed, the fight had finally depleted and any of the surviving threats were either put down or taken to soundproof rooms to be interrogated. ben was about to join in and help with making them pay when one of the men caught his arm. his ears rung out as if a bomb had gone off not even four feet away. he took off down the hall in a haze as he reached his parents room. his hands shaking, he saw his father, sitting on the bed with his head in his hands as the rest of the sons surrounded the scene. peter stood leaning against the wall with a face full of sorrow. charlie stood close by with a hand covering his face as he cried, with jackson beside him, his hands in his hair as his tear stained face looked down at the scene below. ben’s legs threaten to collapse underneath him as he followed everyone’s gaze to his mom on the ground. the crimson stream that seeped from underneath almost made him gag. finally he released a bellowed cry as he let his knees hit the ground. he kneeled down for a few moments, letting the tears fall before crawling on over to her. he touched her face before covering his mouth to hide the sobs. the image faded out as he leaned over her lifeless body and held on to what was left of his dearly loved mother and weeping on her chest. he looked to annie and watched her reaction unfold.

The eerie trail his finger traced burned into her cheek, and even after it left, the absence haunted Bellamy while she regained her composure. She wasn’t necessarily fond of the way he involuntarily mimicked her confidence, typically accustomed to the fact that she always contained control of any situation she was involved in. However, with him, it appeared to be a battle of dominance. Granted, this was his apartment and it was perfectly clear he held the upper hand against her — but that factor wasn’t going to cause Bellamy to easily succumb to his whim. She allowed him to exit her view, her stare forced to fall upon the wall that was once hidden behind his figure. Either party continued withholding such a calmness that it flagged suspicion in her mind, awaiting for the second that it would all burn up in flames like it had within the first five minutes of their meet. Bellamy turned at the immediate sound of ruffling occurring out of her peripheral vision, and was rather satisfied to see he accepted her suggestion. There was comfort in her steps taken towards the drugs on display, her once blank stare now evolved into that of a certain menacing excitement. Admittedly, she gathered from the way he carried himself that he was obviously far beyond your neighborhood weed dealer — though he amazed her regardless with the true collection he stashed away. She was certain, too, that this wasn’t all of it. He knew what he was doing, he wasn’t the type to show all of his cards so easily and his poker face was one of a kind; a poker face she acknowledged far more difficult to interpret than the rest. It was that very unforthcoming behavior he owned that drew her with such a strong magnetic force her adrenaline couldn’t resist. ❝ Well, ❞ She knelt to match the height of the table that caught her attention, ❝ I did simply come here for a smoke up — but — fuck it, right? ❞ Her question was addressed to nobody, her thoughts voiced aloud while she surveyed her options. It was true, her intentions weren’t to dive this deep in his pool; but she was drowning and she wasn’t bothering to resurface, either. Weed would mellow him, and her, and she wasn’t electing to allow her guard to be sabotaged. ❝ How good would you say this is, hm? ❞ She inquired with a bag of her white powdery vice in hand raised in the air so he could catch a glimpse of what she was referring to. ❝ Don’t tell me you haven’t at least tried this with all that you have. ❞ Bellamy felt anything but at ease when his cherished product was in her possession, carefully calculating each action she performed as if she were under heavy scrutiny; and that she was. She knew that much. She was playing a daring game with the devil and she’d come out scorn as long as it meant a victory of control. ❝ And I was thinking your absolute strongest. Don’t hold out on me, either. We can go shot for shot. ❞ Her attention wasn’t on him, but focused on creating a fine line across the surface; conscious of not allowing too much of the substance to fall from the bag. God forbid what would happen to her if she’d become reckless in preparation. Was it wrong of her to admit she quite enjoyed the unpredictable thrill that came with his actions? Probably. ❝ So, ❞ She finished her small task while lifting her gaze to meet his, features antagonizing in their display with her prior smirk doubling in size. ❝ Do you have a name, or are you just as uptight about giving that out as you are with everything else? — And you’re up first, hot shot. ❞ A hand motioned towards the line that resided between either of them. It was a nickname she’d refer to him as until she received said name she asked for.
Tumblr media
he shrugged at the bottle in his hand and brought it over with one glass. it was his bottle, like hell he was dirtying a cup when he could just have a swig. he watched her peer over her options while taking a seat of his own before leaning forward, placing the cup on the table and pouring some in. he leaned back in the comforts of his couch as he tipped the bottle back. ben peaked behind the rum to survey what she held. “ everything is top notch. believe me. ” he murmured with a grin while taking one last drink and then placing it on the table. her comment for shot for shot made him smile, he just took two gulps. keep up lady. she antagonised him with her eyes. every look she gave, every gaze she held was calculated, cold, and driven. she was lining something up and he was eager to see what she was made of. he let out a scoff when she spoke up once again. “ you’re crazy if you think i’m snorting up with a chick like you. you wanted a sample, take it or you can say bye bye to everything on the table. ” he replied, gesturing to his selection. she was obviously eager to have him drugged up and drunk. it just showed how careful she was around him. how scared. he was a man that occasionally indulged in his product from time to time, and he was taught to never do so. but the only time he would give an absolute no to getting coked up and high, is doing it with a client. ben was trained and reckless at combat, or at the very least protective of his stature and job that his dad gave him. so even if he was out of his mind high, he would get in a couple shots. but he wouldn’t compromise himself like that, not after everything he worked for, especially after he just got here. the girl had to watch her step or she could have an enemy for life. the games she played, amused him so. as he was usually the curator of such gambits, but sooner or later they were gonna get him on his bad side. and even if he wasn’t the proudest when it came to laying a hand on a woman, he wouldn’t be afraid to do just that. “ and the names ben. ” he announced with his eyes locked on hers. they basically told her not to mess around, he wasn’t interested in anything other than getting money and his job done. it was best she knew that before finding out the hard way.

His uninformative answer inspired an extended swig of her beer; coming to the realization that a mere pretty face wasn’t going to simply cut it for this guy. His stubbornness mirrored her own, almost matched it all too perfectly. Whether he intended to or not, he awoke a certain curiosity within Bellamy that she hadn’t experienced often with people. Normally, she’d decide most weren’t worth her time deciphering, they weren’t worth a single second — but then again, most people weren’t him. Most people didn’t move into an apartment out of the blue, waltzing around between four walls that were meant to provide protection with a gun attached at the hip, and dealing drugs within the first… however many days, or even hours, of arriving. If he believed his threats, or his flashing of a gun, was going to drive her away — he’d be made to try significantly harder than that in order to accomplish such a daunting task. Flawlessly manicured nails absently picked at the tab of her beer can while her mind shifted gears into overdrive to concoct any sort of plan to continue supplementing time. For the moment where she inverted herself within the tide of her thoughts, it was as though he was nonexistent while not even her eyes acknowledged either his company nor his question addressed at her. ❝ I wanted something — yeah. ❞ The words were plainly stated in their exit when they were finally spoken, her eyes blank in their stare fixated upon her beer can before seemingly waking up; and in what one could say would be a snap of a finger, her attitude adjusted dramatically. The alcohol flowed down her throat with ease; after all, it was only beer. Despite the bubbles tickling as they went down, earning a mistakenly vague burning sensation, she continued chugging until the can could be crushed in her hand. Carelessly, she tossed it back upon the counter top and began a path toward the skeptical dealer — the idea of a gun still residing on his waistline fading into the background of her thoughts while she slimmed the gap occupying between their bodies. ❝ Don’t you have anything stronger than that shit? ❞ She questioned with heavy judgment, practically scolding his alcohol preferences. The only time Bellamy was caught with a beer in hand was for football games, and she came to the conclusion that maybe the drunker she’d get him, the easier he’d be able to be taken advantage of. The money he demanded in exchange for his ‘product’ wasn’t her issue, it was for her, more of an ego thing above all else. As she stated earlier, she never paid before and she would go to great lengths in order to keep that intact. With a dangerous glint in her deep brown hues and a phlegmatic peer piercing through to an opposite pair of eyes, she couldn’t resist the coy smirk tugging with forceful demand at the corner of her lips. ❝ What’s with the strict business? You never have any time for fun? Why don’t you ease up, hot shot? Maybe you could use a bit of your own stuff instead of selling it. Let’s do it together — a sample before the purchase, you know? ❞
Tumblr media
he looked the brunette over as she made herself comfortable, took a drink of the beer in her small palm along with her delicate digits wrapping securely around the tin container. she was pretty exotic when he took a real close look. very sultry, sexy and mysterious. he’d be lying if he wasn’t intrigued and wondering what she looked like without her clothes. but, he wasn’t fooled by the facade. a pretty girl can be very dangerous under the right circumstances. he had a feeling she was the kinda girl that got anything she wanted with a flash of some pearly whites. she was entitled, spoiled and proud. which was a bad combination to find slithering around a drug dealer. he had to build a wall of defence against her charms, which didn’t have to be too sturdy, he wasn’t a weak prepubescent kid after all. their interaction was precarious, for sure. he didn’t know which way it would turn and how bad of a blow out could be following this wonky conversation they were having. by the look of her empty eyes, neither did she. until suddenly, her expression changed in the slightest moment, but he caught it. she was concocting something and he was anxious to get on with this dangerous tennis match they were having. his eyebrows raised as she chugged the entire can right in front of him. what was her angle? after she was finished to the last drop, she crushed the empty can and threw aside, a mental clank rippling off the counter and to the walls. he gave a grin as his eyes stuck glued to hers. he counted the steps she took as she strode up to him with waving hips. he tipped his head back while extending it to look down at her body before meeting the gaze she effortlessly held. she had a knack for this. the question left her plump lips in a rough tone. the idea that this was all he had in his possession made him want to laugh. hard liquor is guaranteed in this line of work and he liked it that way. his eyes shrank to a squint as he examined the devious glint in her eyes. was she trying to get him drunk? another snort erupted in his head once more. good luck. he held his composure so she wouldn’t think he was that easy to manipulate. he liked to laugh at almost anything she said, but he wanted to keep her scared or at least on a strong guard. he liked it when people feared him and it didn’t take a gun or even a knife to make him dangerous, but it sure helped appearances. letting out an amused chuckle, he looked off to the side, before returning her gaze with a straight face. “ you really wanna do this? ” he asked, leaning in a bit more. “ don’t mess around with me girl, you just might get hurt. wouldn’t want to ruin that pretty face. ” he remarked, gliding a finger swiftly against her cheek, before escaping her clutches while letting out a loud genuine laugh. walking to the living room where most of the product was laid out, he knelt down a bit a gesturing to the drugs like a sales model previewing a car. “ lady’s choice. ” he announced. he wasn’t sold on the idea of letting her get her way, she was going to pay whether she liked it or not. the choice on how, was up to her. not too far from where he was before sat a bar at the corner of the room, which was hidden behind a fake green plant. it was good for appearances. “ how much stronger were you thinking? ” he asked, briefly inspecting one of his most expensive rum while watching her tiny hands at the corner of his eye. he wasn’t sure she was above stealing or not, but he couldn’t leave a crafty little girl like her alone with his drugs. even if she did attempt to run off with whatever she could get her hands on, he’d shoot her before she got even two steps in. but he was sure it wouldn’t come to that, no matter how cunning she could be, she was way more stubborn not to get everything she wanted on her own accord.

His words were like fuel to the fire, and she wasn’t sure if she was angry at herself or him for assuming such ridiculous thoughts. “Are you fuc–” she had to bite back on the curse word because this wasn’t her. She hated how much of an affect her family had on her, or more specifically Benedict. Then again siblings always annoyed each other right? Another scoff was elicited in response when he tried to turn this around on her. “The only thing I know is of how much blood is on our hands, so excuse me if do the right thing for once.” Again, she wouldn’t dare because that only meant the others knew where she was if they didn’t already. As his voice turned darker, her eyes narrowed in response, defying him. Daring him to try anything and while she had no idea where all this bravery came from it was a hell lot easier than admitting her fear. “Get it yourself.” came her response but she stood there with her arms crossed while trying to figure out what to do. “Did you tell dad and everyone else that i’m here or did you at least leave me out of this?” it was wishful thinking but she could only hope. “How did you find me? Or was it just a lucky guess?”he had mentioned a little birdy earlier, but who would know her as Annie to even tell him?
Tumblr media
ben shrugged with a pursed lip as he went on his way to do just that. taking his time to get to the kitchen and to look in her fridge, he heard her continue with this rebellious streak of comments. she judged him and their family based on their illegal family activities, but never gave a thought to how there were some good qualities to her flesh and blood. “ relax, dad could give a shit about you and i didn’t tell anybody, not that i got a chance to... ” he replied trailing off a bit, he had just moved in a couple days ago after all. not to mention, he hadn’t made contact with their father just yet, he was too busy to give a minute to hear how his son was settling in or to even check in on reconnaissance. a blow to his heart echoed through his entire body just thinking of the absence of his father’s attention. his mind crossed the thought of their shared parent once again. he was still reeling from his disappearing daughter, and ben was jealous of the attention annie was getting despite having left six years ago. his comment was meant to sting, but he was sure she would wave it off as a blessing and was happy to hear that their father felt something, as she would say. “ there were rumors, nothing solid to fall on, but that’s not why i came. ” he lied. he missed his sister and loved to crash her party. however, the statement was also partly true, considering this part of town was increasing in illegal activity. it was the perfect place to set up camp and cash in on the elevating criminal behaviour. digging through the fridge finally, he pulled out some chilled wine. looking back from where he was, he met her eyes and held up the bottle. gesturing to it with a questioning expression. really? putting it back and then rummaging through the cabinets, he found a stash. “ how did you manage to disappear without a trace? no offence, but you couldn’t have done it all by yourself. ” he glanced over his shoulder. “ who helped you? ”

Muscles in her neck became visible as her figure stiffened amongst the words thrusted in response at her previous outburst. Against her wishes, Bellamy swallowed what he’d said and rapidly rebuilt her composure despite having lost it momentarily. And yet, he still remained calm — a fact that continued to irk her, though brushed aside. ❝ Who’s saying I wouldn’t keep it? ❞ She snobbishly retorted with a turn of her heel to have her attention drawn to each step he’d taken roaming through the apartment; cautious and on high alert when it involved the unfamiliar male. Her guard only intensified at the sudden appearance of a gun wielded in his pants, causing her heart to skip an anxious beat heavily against her chest. Bellamy contemplated whether to remain positioned as is, or follow — reluctantly opting to copy his lead. ❝ Anything alcoholic. ❞ Her words were stated simply, and with a newfound poise as opposed to her recent assertiveness; though, that wasn’t to be mistaken for allowing herself to get comfortable. She approached the countertop and granted herself the permission to occupy one of the stools, elbows perched atop the surface. Typically, with the knowledge gained of a gun being in the seemingly unstable man’s possession, one would secure their safety and flee from the scene. Not Bellamy. It did arouse a sort of foreign sense of fear to her, but she’d be damned if he thought twice about actually using it. ❝ We’ll talk business, after you answer my question first. ❞ A specific set of words had irrefutably seized her curiosity — a curiosity that she learned was beginning to become lethal for her the longer she remained in his presence. With an interested and quirked brow, she finally followed through with the decision to ask. ❝ You said — ‘you can’t touch me and neither can the police’ — What makes you so confident in evading the law? Is it ‘cause of the heat you’re packing? ❞ She nodded towards him with her gaze averting downward in reference to what she’d subtly dropped a mention of.

“ because you’d be a fucking idiot if you did. ” he replied, as he walked away never turning to look her in eye as he left his answer for her interpretation. he placed the now empty can on the counter beside the fridge as he reached in and grabbed two in one hand. he held it out with a casual slump in his shoulder as he glanced in her eyes, before letting the drink go in her grip. opening his in the one hand, he raised to take a drink. he needed one after the interaction he had with this girl. she was adorable and annoying at the same time. but business is business and it would take a lot more than what she was giving to actually make him break. at least, for now. resting his lower back on the nearest counter, he crossed his arms and looked at her. she seemed to be a bit on the edge, but he knew she wasn’t leaving anytime soon. obviously stubborn even in the face of danger, or at least possible threat. if he had to guess, she was probably one the kind of people who got their rocks off on this kind of stuff. acting tough shit, but he knew she was on guard, her behaviour seemed to change just like his tended to do quite vigorously. his tongue then touched his cheek as she took charge of the situation. she would be smart not to take this authoritative stance too far, he was the one who made the rules, he was the one who said what goes down and what doesn’t, he was the one with the gun. “ ask away. ” ben replied, widening his arms as if welcoming a hug. in a minute, he laughed out loud as she got up the courage to ask. the fact that she mentioned the gun in his possession tickled him further. he had more guns in storage and hiding amongst his belongings, but she didn’t know that and it the fact that she hinted at him taking on the police with a single gun was a funny thing to think about. he was reckless, but not that reckless. the thought played out like an old black and white gangster film in his head. him stepping out in front of the apartment building with ak-47′s in his hands as he went out in a blaze of gunfire. “ let’s just say, that’s for me to know and you to... shut your cake hole, yeah? ” he announced with a grin. like he would answer that question so effortlessly. he had a reputation to protect, he was not about to go around telling drug customers about his family business like a little kid showing out his sick ass bike in front of the entire school, no. he didn’t need to prove he meant business and he didn’t need to prove he was telling the truth. by now, he would consider her a complete and utter moron if she went ahead and called his bluff. not only would the cops not do anything, but he would be forced to take her down. afterall, she was just a consumer of some low end drugs, she wasn’t exactly on the payroll to being told these things, and especially wasn’t protected from the rules that went along with his family business.” now, did you want to buy some shit or not? ”
