No clue if there’s any fandom overlap but here’s my power ideas for a Ben 10 parahumans au

Kevin: basically trump crawler with burn scars mental effects mixed in but classified as a striker cape. His shard can piggyback of off the rest of the network so with a touch he can copy other powers at the cost of bringing the shard’s influence closer to the surface and making permanent changes to his body to utilise the ability’s he triggered after running away from home due to feeling like his step father was replacing his dad and his mother not caring. The major plot beats of his life includes fighting weld leaving him with vaguely metallic skin and being selected by Siberian for the nine which he rejected before joining up with the main cast.

Gwen: a breaker/blaster triggered by the excessive pressure of being a perfect student her power is simpler she builds up energy in her body that will eventually violently leak out that can be controlled in a breaker state that looks like the anodites from alien force being mostly energy she feels truly free in this form but loses her ability to feel sensations like warmth and touch leading her to try to limit its use often feeling like a ball of energy in a skin suit. The only one that bothered to get set up via the official channels as an independent and is scene as the only sensible powered member of the team.

Ben: a cluster trigger that gained full control over the powers as the rest of the group died in a simurgh fight all the powers are changer or breaker based giving him a verity of forms from a body made of crystal to a mass of visceral muscle the personality bleed and the effects of being a cape mixed with whatever the simurgh did lead to a strange effect on his personality some days he’s sensible and rational others he’s overconfident and an asshole regardless he has a major hero complex and refuses to not run in to any situation he thinks he can help in even when it costs him.

Max:ex-military turned PRT training instructor with a degree in parahuman studies and the only reason the kids weren’t forced into the wards after they got powers more serious than in cannon but the least changed was approached by cauldron but refused due to not trusting the organisation and putting enough of the puzzle together to realise that they are connected to the case 53s but keeps quiet to protect his grandkids

Rook:a case 53 with an enhanced kinaesthetic sense and fur a personal friend of Maxes from the closest protectorate branch’s good man at heart with an unfortunate tendency to trust the law to be in the right morally leading to some clashing with the kids early in there career

I noticed that a lot of people missed a small reference WB made about Jack Slash

So Jack Slash is obviously and purposely a Joker reference, meant to play into the fact that despite just being a homicidal clown, Joker is treated as a big bad player in the cape game (I personally find that incredibly dumb moment of him being so “crazy” that he is immune to Martian Manhunter mind powers to be the most memorable).

In Jack’s case, despite having a generally mid power (can project the edge of his blades as far as he can see), the fact that his Shard can boss other Shards around means that he’s always on top and cannot be defeated by Parahumans in a fight, so they need to use normal humans to defeat him.

The Joker and Jack Slash stuff is all well and good… until you remember there are 2 Jack Slashes.

Some of you might know what I mean, but for those who don’t, Eden’s/Contessa’s Interlude gave us an alternate timeline that shows us a heroic Jack Slash:

The Black Knight is Jack Slash, a member of the Wardens.

Jack Slash is a Dark Knight. A caped crusader with peak human skills that lets him hang with the big leagues.
