My dad was teasing my sister for most of dinner the other day, and when it was time for dessert, mom handed dad's dessert to my sister to pass over to him. Sister maintained eye contact with dad as she scooped half the whipped cream off the top of his dessert and put it in her mouth before finally handing dad his dessert. What a freaking power move y'all

"I really kind of just want [character] to go away."
I have a line that I can NOT shake out of my head once I spoke it aloud. I'm writing a more fleshed out scene, but this is what I'm hyperfixated on:
A: *falling to his knees* But I want to keep Dreaming! Even if it's a nightmare, I want to Dream!
______________
B: *pats A's head awkwardly and almost immediately wipes their hand on their robes in mild disgust* I know. But the Dream has come to an end. And there will be no awakening. Not for you. Goodbye, [Redacted until I write the whole scene].
______________
Note: Character A is already dead; Character B is simply informing A that their relevance has ceased and as such, so will their very essence. Think of it as an involuntary passing through The Door in the final season of The Good Place.
______________
Another Note: Ideally, both parts would be played by the same VA. In this way, the character can be truly put to rest, without the character's creator having to subject their friend and themselves to an awkward situation of "I want to make the BBEG pay; can you act out a scene where karma finally comes to collect?" I think this could avoid all that. After all, how more cruel could it be to subject [character] to complete irrelevance, especially since he thought he had things figured out? He didn't fear death, because he was so sure he would still exist in some form or fashion. How beautifully cruel for him to be (partially) right, and for it not to matter at all?

A final note: Some of y'all will immediately pick up on all the redacted words. Please do not disclose anything you've figured out. Thank you.
