Mother and children. Seeing a complete family of tufted ducks floating on the water's surface is unusual. Normally someone is always diving, and sometimes you don't see a duck at all, just small water bubbles.

These two swallows flew out of their nest shortly after the photo was taken. One landed right next to my bike parking space. It doesn't seem entirely happy. Was taking off a good idea?
