Quick colored sketch of Paladin Danse. It *loosely* resembles him, but I just wanted to practice with skin tones and kind of threw anatomy out of the window hehe
First is the WIP, second is final product

Okay I'm actually really proud of this one...
I had to draw Bobby at some point and I'm just so glad it turned out how I wanted. I'm a bit insecure about my abilities with drawing in digital and so far just having this tumblr to post too has really helped me. I feel like I'm getting super close to the kind of depth I get when i paint, and it's taking me aback honestly. (apologies for not posting any traditional stuff, I haven't really properly shared my art before).
Anyway, I hope if you see this you like it too :)
And a big thank you to everyone who I've interacted with so far, you've been absolutely lovely ❤️

Someone: Hey, are you okay?
Me, internally: Even post-Blind Betrayal, Danse and Hancock don't get along and seem to genuinely despise each other. Danse regularly calls Hancock by doragatory terms and Hancock in turn makes jokes at Danse's expense. This dynamic will never change in-game and it's so upsetting, because I think they have more common ground than most of the other companions, at least mental health-wise. Hancock is a companion that has been proven to have suicidal thoughts and idealization through different dialogue options/a literal suicide that can happen in the game if left unattended at max affinity, while post-Blind Betrayal Danse is left with little purpose and his life falling apart at the seams, leaving him questioning whether or not there's even a point to staying alive. Because of this, if the two were given the chance to interact one on one and talk about their struggles, I believe they could at the very least form a kind of friendship that you see between some of the other companions. It's a fucking shame that Danse doesn't get any changes in his dialogue post-BB, since it could give the chance for the player to see him grow as a person, and while he might struggle with it at first, it would be nice to see him trying to be nicer to companions like Nick and Hancock. Not only that, I wish that companions living in the same settlement could interact with each other, and let us see how the other companions would treat Danse post-BB, preferably with people like Nick, Preston, and Piper offering him support as he adjusts to being a synth. In conclusion, Danse deserved more genuine character development and I feel robbed.
Me, externally: I'm fine.
