"We trained a pigeon to recognise cancerous cell clusters and somehow they're really good at it" okay great, that's something that could plausibly be a thing.

"We trained a pigeon to recognise good CV:s and left it in charge of sorting through all our job applications" uh perhaps consider not doing that.

I have been blessed

Sir Balderdash is my main character for the Evil Science Centre, a tumblr rp community. He’s only slightly a scientist, his role in the centre is more medical+ janitorial+ odd jobs + resident bard and funnyman.

He’s ~25 years old, and was originally born in the 1600s before being whisked off on years of time-travelling shenanigans by an actual evil scientist who wanted the answer to the age-old question: “what would happen if you gave a Victorian child a dorito chip?” (And other related queries).

A quick rundown of his character:

Gay (as an umbrella term. He decided specific labels were too much work)

nominally a cisgender man, in the sense that he’s seen too many cultures to care about gender anymore

writes using þ

the equivalent of a fairly high-level bard, he is somewhat good at everything but extremely good at performance

His one science thing is portal tech. Which he mostly just stole from the aforementioned evil scientist after their death.

speaks essentially every language but most of them not very well

can play essentially every instrument in existence

has been most inspired by his birthplace, 60s USA, and 80s Britain, but he’s been everywhere and anywhen. And has picked up his fashion sense from all of them.

if he’s not wearing something pink somewhere on his body then something has gone terribly wrong.

really just a silly guy who loves his friends+ found family. And one of the more normal people at the ESC, somehow.
