    He’s got a few hints of Maxie in him, really. That mechanical brilliance, that inclination towards hatred, that stiff face that barely moves, those brilliantly blue eyes that hide drowning currents…

     It’s no wonder why he likes this one so much. His irritation nearly matches Maxie’s (but it never would replace, for Maxie’s hatred burns like lava and this one just smolders like soot), and it’s a good enough substitute for now.

Lysandre remained silent for a few moments after Archie stopped talking, thinking. There was a brief moment of anger at calling Sycamore a nerd, but pushed it back since he had a feeling that the other was only teasing as usual. To be honest the Team Aqua leader hit the nail on the head, those being the only two a true smile appeared for other than his Pokemon and while a part of him said to just switch the subject, he had a feeling that wouldn’t be helpful in this situation.

“Yes.” he answered plain and simple, “Because unlike most people they actually make me happy.” ‘I know that they’re not like the rest.’

((Hey guys I'm not going to be doing much in terms of long posts/drafts due to my grandfather passing away late last night. We had been prepared for this for almost a week, but it still hit us pretty hard. So I'm sorry for the upcoming slowness.))

“shipping” is NOT only for romantic relationships.

you can ship as best friends. you can ship as enemies. you can ship as family. you can ship as co-workers who only see each other once a week. you can ship as employers who both hate their boss.

“shipping” means “relationship”. a “ship” is the act of two people having a relationship. humans have more relationships than just their romantic ones.

“I’m pretty sure it’s the case. It’s kinda like Lily, y'know? He comes and goes too, but he has other things to do outside of talking to silly old me, h-haha… it’s, not their faults.” He doesn’t like to show that he gets antsy, about alternates going for long periods. Sure, he can continue to watch them through his BOB-BOTS, but it wasn’t quite the same feeling as actually talking to them, and watching how they move and how they’re all so… special.

It made him worried, to not be able to see that special quality close up.

“T-that’s true, but I’m sure they’re just teasing! Anons can be like that; they did this when I first met Lily too.” He pats at Lysandre’s arm gently, smile still as bright and sweet as ever.

“Besides, I prefer us being super good friends! It doesn’t feel as… ah, I don’t know how to explain it. B-but, it’s super nice, either way.”

He had a point...perhaps he was just worrying too much...

Then again one couldn’t be too careful about these things.

Lysandre gave a ever so slight tilt of his head as Lys continued to speak, not minding the pats. It was somewhat like with how the Anons kept throwing him and Burnet together though for a different reason that it wouldn’t work. Foolish Anons, did they not learn or care?

“Doesn’t make it any less annoying...” he started off, “I would also like to keep our relationship as it is, no offense to you of course. I know you’re with Sycamore and I’m perfectly content with how things are now.” To be honest he wasn’t even sure he was ready for such a relationship given how his other two ended. The only person as of right now he could think of getting into a relationship with was his Sycamore or another timeline perhaps, but even then he was at least somewhat hesitant.

He gave him the flattest look he could, clearly not impressed or amused.

“More like ruining your chances more...” he said in a deadpan tone, “You’re not helping yourself. At all.”
