Pitched a passion project to a network owned by multimillion dollar company

Had to remove MOST of the edge of taken out of said passion project.

Bent over backwards to promote the multimillion dollar company’s flawed streaming service so she could continue to make her dreams come true.

Was told MID-PRODUCTION of a second season that her show was gonna be cancelled with all that’s left to make being the rest of that season and three specials.

Was given little to no explanation as to WHY other than her show with an openly bisexual main character no longer fit the brand.

Proceeds to put two and two together when it gets revealed that the multimillion dollar company supported a Florida bill that prohibited discussion of LGBTQIA+ people in the classroom.

Scrambled to make sure that the rest of her series had an ACCEPTABLE ending.

Watched as some of her friends and colleagues go through the same thing with THEIR projects.

Get angry at the fact that the multimillion dollar company made bank off those projects while she and her friends got PENNIES in return.

Quit working for the company because all of the reasons above.

Proceeded to go independent and work for the studio that produced the most FINANCIALLY SUCCESSFUL ANIMATED SERIES OF THE FUCKIN’ DECADE.

And then make a show where the point is to essentially say, “Fuck you” to the multimillion dollar company and all that it currently stands for.

Knights of Guinevere is more than just a dark, horrific animated series that features scenes and ideas from a Dana Terrace unfiltered. Knights of Guinevere is an animated show made by a Dana Terrace who is spiteful and angry towards Disney and everything it’s done, not just to her and The Owl House, but to the animation industry as a whole…And I’m all the more excited because of it.

unfortunately i find it hard to take rook seriously as a protagonist at all, bc their entire plot is so... wildly strung together with spit and paperclips, fhdsjfd

why did varric hire them? oh you know. their vibes. sure.

how did they disrupt the ritual? well, the inquisition and varric have learned Nothing about solas' plan in 10 years. despite solas actually asking to be talked out of it. and many aspects of the situation being literally In The Chant Of Light, the book that everyone in thedas has access to. for some reason, solas also has 0 bodyguards or agents, and leaves his eluvian fully open for anyone to walk in. and then rook starts pushing over statues. great.

then, solas stabs varric with his super special dagger, instead of just. mind blast. or turn him to stone. varric also has the most piss-poor argument ever - like compare these. how did he get worse at arguing over 10 years?

then, solas gets sucked into regret jail. we will forget the part where the evanuris clearly have no regrets, so this is a stupid idea to begin with, and there's no indication of how solas even accessed the black city at all, when that's supposed to be a huge deal, and impossible without tearing the veil, since the black city is basically the "centre" of the fade, and seems structurally attached to the veil itself.

solas thinks: "wow. despite my moral objections to removing free will, i need to mind control rook with blood magic, and make them have enough regrets to swap with them, so that i can escape jail."

to do this, he creates a fake varric. then, one of these options happens:

he can't control the fake varric. so the hallucination acts just as rook expects varric to, and is nice to them.

he CAN control the fake varric. which means that he's making varric be nice on purpose(??)

but in either case, the fake varric actively REDUCES their regrets just by existing!! it's insane!! this is actively the opposite of what solas needs to escape.

all solas had to do was make them know varric is dead, and then hit them with the "wow.... your beloved centrist bestie died, huh? by being betrayed? and you didn't stop it? smh 👎🥚" and then rook develops regrets that parallel solas' regrets about mythal. and solas escapes.

or, solas keeps fake varric, and has him go "ough... look at this terrible damage from the blight... rook, you really fucked this up by releasing the evil elven gods. kirkwall is getting destroyed. you destroyed my home :(" and this parallels solas' regret about destroying arlathan. and solas escapes.

solas does neither of these, and remains in jail for way longer for no reason. also, no one on rook's team ever directly mentions varric's death, nor do they ever have a conversation where rook mentions varric. nor do they notice any signs of weird behaviour from their boss, who is actively hallucinating an entire fake person constantly. this team Sucks both interpersonally and on investigating anything, fhdsgfjsd. you're saying neve, the tevinter detective, doesn't notice any signs of blood magic manipulations(?) what does she even do at her job, then?

anyway, then rook manages to... stab the evanuris to death. bc of the Incredible Tactic of killing their dragon first, and then them. somehow, nobody tried this in 5000 years of arlathan warfare. and also, elgar'nan moves celestial bodies around and can stop time. but it is ok to just stab him, bc he doesn't use any of that on rook. and clearly the evanuris must have all known about the dragon thing when killing mythal, and she STILL survived - but rook is just built different, and can kill the evanuris easily. yay!

anyway, then rook's team somehow created... a fake dagger. of pure lyrium. the substance that is so volatile that only dwarves and tranquil can even touch it. and this is a highly specific, ancient magical item that solas himself made, as an unprecedented weapon that devastated the titans. and somehow the fake one is SO convincing that it can fool solas, who's otherwise so magically sensitive that he's yapping about the 2% veil differences in every area he visits.

alternatively, rook can wander up and stab solas - somehow punching him out first, despite him being wildly magically powerful. and then they Tie Solas' Life To The Veil™ (this is blood magic, and allegedly evil when other people do it) before stabbing him. with the dagger that killed elgar'nan. when solas is not immortal and far weaker than elgar'nan. so uhh. this should collapse the veil in about 10 minutes (?) how much blood does solas have left after all his previous injuries (?)

but don't worry about any of that, kitten 👍

hey, remember being 18 years old and playing mass effect for the first time and it's got this like intense aura of being very small and very insignificant in a very big, very empty galaxy? remember playing mass effect for the first time and everything all of this is so new and mysterious, and it's 2am and you're sitting in a dark room in the light from your tv and you're playing through feros for the first time and you feel that this is someting very old and very ancient and you are somewhere you shouldn't be and you don't know what's going to happen or where you're going but you keep on. there's a tingling in your stomach and you're playing mass effect for the first time. the thorian is a milennia old sentient plant being. the rachni queen is old and telepathic and a hive mind and in pain. sovereign is an ancient machine that has not been built but is, and has always been, and this is something so alien and so unlike and beyond anything your human mind can comprehend, and this is something unexplainable and huge and as uncaring and indifferent as the empty galaxy around you. you're playing mass effect for the first time and you're walking on the surface of an almost completely empty planet with nothing but your two companions silently walking beside you and everything is so huge and empty and silent and you're so small and insignificant and it's so beautiful and so scary and you feel like you are on a rollercoaster about to drop down. you are playing mass effect for the first time and you're playing the mission on the moon and you stop and just look up at earth visible in the sky. you know this. this is home. you are playing mass effect for the first time, and the galaxy is so big, and you are so tiny, and everything is about to change for you.

Forbidden Plants Of Palestine tatreez motifs

Shereen Quttaineh: 'For countless generations, Palestinians foraged and harvested the fruits of their land, from wild plants like tumble thistle (Akkoub), medicinal thyme (Za’atar), and wild sage (Meramieh) to cultivated staples like olives, oranges, and watermelons.

Like all other facets of their lives, their autonomy over their own food is under occupation. In addition to confiscating farmlands and uprooting centuries-old fruit trees, the occupation imposes oppressive laws forbidding Palestinians from picking and growing the plants that comprise their culinary, medicinal, and cultural traditions. Despite this, Palestinians continue to find ways to resist.

Each tatreez motif documents a “Forbidden Plant of Palestine,” carrying a story of connection and resilience, offering a reminder of the enduring bond between the people and the land that nurtures them.

Palestinian women have long documented their stories and surroundings through embroidery, preserving history and identity in every stitch. Through creating my own motifs for the plants that Palestinians are restricted from accessing on their own land, I am continuing this tradition—using thread as a form of resistance. This project is my way of documenting apartheid, reclaiming narratives, and strengthening my connection to my roots and identity. Each tatreez motif is a testimony of endurance, belonging, and the fight to keep our heritage alive.

I created these motifs to be used for non-commercial purposes. The Palestinian cause is not for sale and should not be exploited for profit. If you wish to share or use these motifs, proper credit is required.
