What is a "wild human"? Like— from the "Wild Human Den" on the map?

A "wild human" is what the clan cats call humans who choose to live in nature. These humans seem like them, wild, choosing to live in the woods away from human civilization. To them most humans are just as domesticated as house cats, they have lost their want to be wild.

Specifically the wild human den is a cabin that an old hermit lives in, he really only ever goes into town for necessities like once a month. Also fun fact! A large majority of the clans' territory is his property, though the occasional hunters and hikers enter anyways.

The definition of wild human might be mentioned in the comic at some point but honestly lore like this probably isn't going to be mentioned much so thanks for askin'!

I never got to actually do the no longer you animation and genuinely think I was way over my head trying to put together a 32 second animation in less than a month while I had never touched the animation software before and haven't animated in even flipaclip in years by now - but I felt kinda bad so as revenge I'm gonna try a lipsync animation to the "would you still love me if I was vermiculated" audio with bignose so I gotta ask how their eyebrows would convey that nervous worry when asking

I've also been pondering at the end having a gag of the what if question where Littlehowl and Marigoldheart stand before a worm on a string-ified bignose but I'm unsure how to simplify him enough for that

first and foremost, your art is incrediblle! intro pages look like illustrations for a book (with that level of detail they may as well be). and character designs? chief's kiss

secondly, i'd like to guess some relations between your characters!

1. Hollowstar and Cliffshade. mother and son, perhaps? their shapes look very similar.

2. Lightrise and Finchstar! i'm pretty sure they're family, they look so alike.

3. Quivermark and Wrenclaw are most likely siblings! their ears and faces in general mirror each other. also they're both exactly 113 moons, so they must've been born in the same litter.

4. Sorrelpad is most likely the mother of Fennelpaw, Goldenpaw, and Snakepaw. Goldenpaw looks just like her! the other two were just a guess, since they're the same age and are placed neither before nor after Goldenpaw, but around him. as for the father, i'm not sure. Gillpelt, maybe? he also has purple eyes, Fennelpaw has the same eyebags as him, and Snakepaw might've inherited those white streaks in her hair, but it's strange that the babies are all very lightly coloured. so maybe Bluedapple? his face shape looks similar to Fennelpaw's.

5. Crestedstar and Marigoldheart are most likely sisters! they're of the exact same age and both have funny bear-like little ears.

6. i would also guess that one of them is Sorrelpad's parent (likely Marigoldheart because of the eye shape and less prominent white spotting). second parent i'd say is Cloudyspots. cheek fluff gives it away.

7. Peachfuzz and Salmondusk! i'll be honest, i based this assumption purely on their similar color palette. if they're father and son, i'd guess that the second parent is Coppersight: Salmondusk has his dark face mask and ears.

8. bit of a long shot: Troublepath and Bluedapple. they seem like grandmother and grandson, but again, it's based simply on their colours and some visual traits.

2. You are right again! Lightrise is Finchstar's mom!

4. Sorrelpad is the 3 apprentices' mother and they are a litter! I should note that in this version of Clans cats are allowed to have kits with outsiders or occasionally even cats of another clan (usually only when clans are long standing allies). So Sorrel's kits father is not in Poppyclan!

5. Crestedstar and Marigoldheart are indeed sisters too! The bear ears are a long lasting family trait <3

6. You were close to Sorrel's parents, its actually Crestedstar and Cloudyspots! She really takes after her dad in shapes hehe

7. You are also right about Salmondusk! He's a PeachxCopper kit!

8. Neither Bluedapple or Troublepath have biological family in the clan actually! Though Blue is adopted (not by trouble tho) :3

are you playing with mods?

Other than Lifegen? No! I'm just playing on lifegen rather than vanilla clangen!

However the code has and will be heavily tampered with by me! This time I'm mostly using the game as a jumping off point for telling a story so I will often change things to better fit the story I want to tell!

Also I had to code the entire clan into existence bec the characters existed before I decided to move to lifegen lol. a good portion of the clan existed in vanilla clangen but there's a lot of code that needed to be changed for them to work in Lifegen properly... it took a long time...

i just finished fixing up my ref sheets and updating all my character profiles! (I decided I wanted to have at least some descriptions on each page this year)

I'm real exited for Artfight this year! I really want to focus on drawing a diverse handful of characters to get some practice in! That being said I just want to warn people that I have given up on my battle ratio at this point and will not be doing too many revenges this year lest I be burnt out :P

I didnt draw all the cats of Sage and Lupineclan bec its not necessary for now, so yall just get the heads of the clan (the eldest of each role).

these allegiances do not include Bigkit or his brother bec they have not been born yet!

Ok I have plans on changing a few names for roles in the clans and also changing up what they do a bit ... but I'm having a hard time deciding on names for the roles so I wanted your opinions/ideas!

The roles that are not changing are:

Leader, Warrior, Apprentice, Elder

The roles I am changing are:

Deputy? I kinda want to change the name to 'Second' but I could just stick with tho og, so I'd like to know which yall like better!

Medicine Cat: i always change the name for this one, I'm thinking about 'Doctor' this time though I could just stick with my go to of healer.

Queen: im making Queens the caretakers of the clan, they help raise kits but also act as the clan therapist and caretaker for all, making sure everyone is happy and healthy! I was thinking of changing the name 'Nurse' to go with 'Doctor' however that might not be fitting? So I could go with Caretaker? But that doesn't role off the tongue as well :/

Mediator: the Mediator role has been merged with the queen role basically, and I am replacing Mediators with what I am currently calling 'scholars'. Cats who dedicate themselves to learning as much as they can about clan history and the natural world (ex: types of plants, animals, etc.) And sharing this knowledge with the clan (especially the youth). Id love ideas for names for this role! Do yall like scholar or should I do something else??

Quite literally this is the only thing I am undecided on... I have the wonderful first chapter planned out I just need to decide the role names lol

This setting is based on Northern California's coast! As a Californian nature lover it is one of my most beloved places to visit! Im loving illustrating it!!!

Also for those curious Poppyclan will be Bignose's clan :D . And for Whisperingclan readers, Sageclan is Echoingclan! I wanted to transfer them over to this story too! I also kinda stole Roaringclan's vibes and put it into Lupineclan (tho no Roaringclan cats are in this story)

Does Bignose have cat mannerisms? Such as like loafing when sleeping, rubbing against things. And he probably meows?

oh yes he absolutely does.

Have any of yall seen those videos of dogs raised by cats who climb up on the backs of couches and cat trees? that's him. My boy is too big and gangly to climb trees but he will try to get up high like cats.

He also 100% loafs or at least tucks his legs close to in his best attempt at a loaf. And he does big stretches like cats too hehehe

Im planning on making it so a good amount of predator and domestic animals can understand each other just to make things easy. but i imagine Bignose has a more cat-like bark like he has a cat accent lol
