I don’t necessarily see Noel’s intentions of this tweet being antiblack, but discrediting people for supporting protestors and blm, sharing and posting links, and asking him to do the same because he has a platform to do so, rubs me the wrong way. I understand he said in his live stream it was in the heat of the moment and he has since apologized but it still bothers me. I’m going to be taking a step back from Noel content for awhile but I do love many people in this community. Stay safe out there !

that stream was really tough for me to be in. that chat could not stop saying “twitter is toxic” and “we forgive you” or “you don’t have to apologize” and it was so upsetting. i’m not gonna lie i cancelled my patreon after his initial tweet. it was just so insanely disappointing to see what he said and the way he said it and the way people in that chat were invalidating the justified anger people felt today was infuriating. not to mention white ppl accepting his apology on behalf of black people
