Tips For Cyclist- Cycling Benefits
Tumblr media
Whether you're cycling to complement your races, if it's a way to de-stress from day to day or if it's your favorite sport, cycling brings lots of benefits. And if you do it right you can train almost every muscle in the body. Regular cardio training helps muscles burn more fat. And, unlike running or hiking, you do not have to carry the weight of your own body while cycling. This is not only good for the joints, but it is also very fun!
CYCLING: A GOOD TRAINING FOR THE WHOLE BODY
Climbing the bike not only activates the muscles of the legs, it also involves the abdominal muscles and those of the back to provide stability. In addition, fastening to the handlebar also makes the shoulders and arms work. The muscles become more efficient and this makes day-to-day tasks easier. Cycling is a great supplement for your running training. But it is also a good sport for beginners since you can train for a relatively long time and at low intensity, which makes you acquire a good base.
THE BENEFITS OF CYCLING FOR THE HEART
In addition, cycling also has lots of benefits for the heart and cardiovascular system. Regular exercise makes the heart beat a lot. Not only is this good for circulation, but over time you will also reduce your heart rate at rest and while exercising. This means that the heart does not have to make so much effort when doing physical activities. Intense bike sessions are also good for the heart because they improve blood circulation.
1. CHOOSE YOUR BICYCLE WELL
Mountain bike, road, trekking ... Choose the one that suits you best. Our expert Sascha Wingenfeld has the best tips to buy the perfect bike for you
2. TIGHTEN THE BIKE AND PROTECT THE JOINTS
Yes, cycling is a soft sport for the joints. But that is only true if the bicycle adapts to the body. The position of the saddle should be comfortable and, if you intend to do an intense activity, you should be as straight as possible. This will relieve the load on your back and allow you to pedal more efficiently. If the saddle is too high, the hips will swing from side to side. Are you thinking about buying a new bike? Then let the experts guide you in the store. Do you already have one and want to move with her again? Take it to the store and someone helps you adjust it.
3. HOW TO START GOING ON A BIKE
At the beginning, it is a good idea that you stick to the flat routes in which you have to pedal all the time. As a rule of thumb, it is always better to choose a low gear and pedal rather than choosing a route with a lot of resistance for the beginnings. This will allow the muscles to hold more. As you get used to pedaling, you can attack the rhythm of pedaling, cadence or 90 rotations per minute. Heart rate is also important at the beginning. With an easy rhythm, the heart rate should not exceed more than 60% - 70% of the maximum heart rate. The length of the workout should adjust to your fitness level.
4. THE BEST POSITION TO GO ON BIKE
Play the pedals with the metatarsus of the foot, not with the middle part. The knees should go parallel to the frame. Having the correct posture helps you protect your joints and allows you to get the most out of pedaling.
5. HOW TO GO ON BIKE WITH WIND OR ACCORDING TO TIME
Make sure you are wearing the right clothes. Short or long sleeves, with or without sleeves, with or without a jacket. Choose the right clothes according to the weather conditions. Many people underestimate the importance of wind, especially when they are beginners. A simple breeze can become a nightmare when you go by bike. The wind can make your bike ride harder than you thought.
6. REGISTER YOUR CYCLING ROUTES AND IMPROVE YOUR PERFORMANCE
Cycling apps help you to know how much you have traveled or if you have made your favorite route faster than the previous time. You can download the apps Runtastic Road Bike, for the road bike or Runtastic Mountain Bike, for a mountain bike for free and you'll be ready to get on the bike.
7. SELECTOR CREATE YOUR CYCLING ROUTES
Before starting your bike ride, you can search and select a route (you can also do this with the Runtastic apps). Thus you will find the best suggestions to go to pedal.
So take your bike, enjoy the wind by giving yourself in the face and the surroundings and you will help both your mind and your body.

Best MTB Trails
Most Attractive MTB Trails Mountain Biking really makes the difference. Few things are better than crushing a tough race. Except perhaps a festive drink after blowing himself up on the track. But you live in Boston, you could as well put your mountain bike in reserve. Whoa, not so fast! There is more to cycling in New England than fighting with cobblestones, cars, and pedestrians.
There are countless trails and parks just outside the city, perfect for all adrenaline-loving mountain bikers. So get on a camel ride and get your bike out of there because you have to walk the best mountain bike trails near Boston. This is probably the best place for mountain biking on the entire east coast, so it must be the first on our list.
Seriously, we can not stress this: these trails are great. We are talking about mountain biking that rivals Colorado and Utah. This is a big problem for us, New England. Kingdom Trails are located in East Burke, Vermont, less than three hours from Boston. You will want to spend the weekend there - although there is still not enough time - to explore 150 miles of tracks that go from double to single track in an instant.
The only time you want to stop is the meal and, fortunately, you can climb directly into the city without losing a moment. Some of the most passionate mountain bikers in the world have said that Great Brook Farm State Park is one of their favorite trails throughout New England. And cling to your hats, just 50 kilometers from the city.
Do you know what that means? Day trip! Pack your gear for the day and head north to Boston to enjoy 20 miles of easy to moderate driving. Make a few different loops, take a break for a picnic and pick up where you left off. Another forehand from Boston, this highly rated mountain bike shelter is just an hour’s drive from the city. And it is well suited to the most advanced and adventurous riders. So, if you think you have what it takes and you are ready for a challenge, do not hesitate to give Leominster a chance.
When you leave, get ready for a technical part, an elevation gain and a single track. And fun, of course. But it’s a fact when it comes to a park like this. Yes, the Berkshires occupy most of western Massachusetts. And, yes, that leaves you with a lot of mountain bike options. But, frankly, you can not go wrong with a ride in this part of New England.
Go in the fall when the foliage is at its best and it’s cool enough for you to ride all day. We recommend staying near Pittsfield. In this way, you can browse several different tracks - from the October runs to the Pittsfield State Forest to Beartown Trails Epic - the same weekend. Two hours north of Boston, Maine, Bradbury Mountain State Park is a bike paradise. This is not for the casual runner. However, if you are dedicated to this sport, like a good challenge and you live in Boston, this place is really for you.
There are a few easy trails here, especially on the west side of the park. Most of it is divided into moderately difficult and almost impossible tracks (note as we said almost) single tracks. The good news is, after a tough but fun-filled riding day, you can stop in Portland for an unforgettable meal. It seems like a good Saturday. This New Hampshire bike park is unique for a number of reasons. First - and unfortunately - it’s not as free as many other mountain bike options in New England. As with any ski resort, you need a pass.
This is the only drawback, however. All the rest of this park is tantalizing for all adventurous mountain cyclists. It has trails for all levels, some of the best downhill runs on the east coast, and even has an indoor training center. As a bonus, it is less than 90 miles from Boston.
