Hi, I was just wondering if writing for the zine has to be original? Or can it be fanfiction?

We do allow fanfiction, but try to prioritize original work so our zine can showcase a variety of BIPOC vampires and stories that are not often seen.

I know it's very early to be asking questions like this, but since I'm already brainstorming, how do you feel about political content in stories?

I don't mean political as in "POC existing in a way that white people perceive as political" I mean like. I'm specifically thinking about a short story explicitly set during the White Terror period in Taiwan which is inherently political in nature

Thanks for asking. Yes, we welcome political topics as part of story submissions - given that BIPOC vampires can exist in periods of history (fantastical or real) it makes sense that some of those backdrops will involve political events.
