oh my god. so I've always had the theory that one of violet's siblings will be venin, but in my re-read I just realised that it's LITERALLY in the same chapter as the fable that talks about "three siblings, and the one who COMMANDS THE SKY has to take out the sibling who turns venin" and then in that chapter, violet is fighting a venin who says "look at all that untapped power, you could COMMAND THE SKY" LIKE?? THIS CANNOT BE A COINCEDENCE 😭😭😭 MISS REBECCA DOES EVERYTHING ON PURPOSE. I NEVER REALISED IT WAS IN THE EXACT SAME CHAPTER BYEEE

I just realised that in the next #fourthwing book the letters at the start of chapter will refer violet to as Her grace, Cadet Violet Sorrengail,Sixteenth Duchess of Tyrrendor and I crave for the next book even more

So my brother started reading Fourth Wing (which was a massive shock to me. He's not a reader, this is the first series he's actually tried). His narrations from the first few chapters are as follows;

"I hope Jack Barlowe dies"

"Violet having Jack Barlowe literally by the balls is hilarious"

"I'm at the bit where she was in the tree looking for poisons or some shit and found The Guy's little club"

"Why aren't they allowed to meet in groups of over three?"

"I hate Jack Barlowe"

I knew the moment Xaden stayed after their first night together that he's down really bad for her. The fact that he woke up earlier to pick up spring violets so that she wouldn't feel alone when she wakes up... 🥹

It was truly a phenomenal event between them and it altered his brain chemistry forever. Who would have thought that he becomes snuggly morning-after and more?

Oh, that Fourth Wing reread will surely HITS. Not now though!

Violet doesn't get enough credit for how she stays composed after the disaster that was meeting the Irids. First, she learns that there isn't a cure or a weapon to defeat the venin. Second, while she's still processing all of that, Ridoc is the one who tells Xaden there is no cure. Third, she has to deal with both the disgust from the wild Irids who think she's horrible for bonding Andarna AND Andarna's own grief over their opinion of her. Fourth, Xaden goes all broody and won't talk to her when she tries to reassure him of her love for him. And fifth, she then has to tell one of her best friends about everything she has done to try to save the man she loves while also saving the continent. And then after all of that, they fly home and have to go back to class. She's never given a moment to just...feel.
