❝Do you remember that promise we made to each other when we were kids?❞ 𝓡𝐎𝐁𝐈𝐍 asks, her voice light and lilting. While her tone is fond and clearly directed, her eyes are fixed elsewhere, gaze drifting out below.

From their balcony view, the streets of Golden Hour look tiny, almost comically so. The buildings and structures, like dollhouses. The visitors, little more than silhouettes. It was rare she was granted the chance to observe the Dreamscape from such an angle; people-watching was a cherished hobby, but one she never found the opportunity to indulge in nowadays.

Beneath them, a pair of young Halovians run through the plaza, hands clasped tightly together. From such a distance, Robin can't make out a word they are saying, but she can tell they are laughing. The sight stirs something in her; warm, yet bittersweet.

❝When I fell, and scraped my knee, while we were playing hide and seek.❞ Robin clarifies. ❝You were hiding. My wings were covering my eyes, and I couldn't see my own hands in front of my face, let alone that awful tree root in Mr. Wood's yard.❞

She falters slightly at the memory, a thoughtful look crossing her face, mingled with nostalgia and regret. ❝I didn't know where you had hid. But as soon as you heard me cry out, you were there. Comforting me. Wiping the tears from my eyes, and pressing your handkerchief to my bloodied knee. You didn't let me feel alone for more than a moment.❞

Robin stifles a giggle into her hand. She can still remember the frantic expression on his face, hurried reassurances and platitudes spilling out in waves. What was so emotional in the moment, was nothing but endearing in hindsight. ❝You made a promise to me that day⎯⎯no matter what happened, if I called out for you, you'd answer. And I promised you the same.❞ A pause. ❝Albeit through tears, but the sentiment still stands. Even if we're galaxies apart, if you call, I will answer. Like any good sister would.❞

A beat of silence passes, before she turns around. A smile, gracing her lips. Something wistful and unspoken in her eyes.

❝You remember that, don't you, Brother?❞
