Putin: "The bear is, of course, a symbol of Russia, but the world's largest tiger is also Russian."
"I want to note that the bear as a symbol of Russia is an image imposed by English propaganda from posters and caricatures from the beginning of the 19th century (if not earlier), despite the fact that they put negative traits of a bear into this symbol: yes, big, strong and scary, but at the same time lazy (sleeps for half a year), clumsy and slow.
Well, it’s like when we depict someone as a pig, and they are proud of it 50 years later :)
Therefore, I think that if I were to choose an image of an animal as a symbol, I would take the Siberian tiger (especially since it is only found here)"
"I've always been pissed by the comparison of Russia to a bear and the fact that we accept it. This crap was invented in the West; in almost all their caricatures, Russia is depicted as a rude barbarian bear climbing into "enlightened Europe". Our symbol is a two-headed eagle, inherited by the Third Rome from the Second, and not a bear."
"Well, so-so. The bear became a symbol of Russia only thanks to the endless stream of Western caricatures over several centuries. Of course, as they say: "If you can't beat 'em, join 'em." But the Yankees chose an eagle and the British chose a lion by themselves."

Cat fight between Machli and T-6. The tigress Machli had killed a sambar deer and T-6 was marking his territory and strolling around when he caught the smell of a carcass from long distance. Photographed by Raghu Kulkarni at Ranthambore National Park, 2014.
#tiger#I guess I should do the same when someone eats what I want#@ligeyah I think we saw a similar scene in a film based on Dostoevsky's “A Gentle Creature”

The US is gradually "pulling" itself out of the conflict and preparing to use Europe as another "Ukraine" against Russia.
Why is Russia helping the US play this gambit, I don't know due to the lack of information. What exactly Russia and the US discussed (not Ukraine, nobody cares about pawns) and what the Russian elite got from the American elite for this spectacle we are unlikely to find out in the near future.

"Let's end this war that would never have started if I were president!" — Trump, 22.01.25.
On December 18, 2014, US President Barack Obama signed the law "The Ukraine Freedom Support Act", previously approved by Congress, authorizing the transfer of weapons for Kiev, including lethal ones.
Since January 2017, when Donald Trump became president of the United States, the US Treasury has imposed sanctions on 212 individuals and companies associated with Russia.
According to these data, 136 individuals and companies are included in the sanctions lists due to the situation in Ukraine under the Law on Countering America's Adversaries Through Sanctions Act (CAATSA).
On March 1, 2018, the US Department of Defense announced that the Donald Trump administration had decided to supply Ukraine with 37 Javelin anti-tank missile systems and 210 missiles for a total of $47 million.

And that’s why you will die. All these "I would never" talks are useless. The fewer Ukrainians survive, the better it will be for the Russian budget and taxpayers.
I wouldn’t talk badly about drone operators. We have guys whose personal little cemetery starts with 500-1000 people. And he did it alone with his drone. Will put down the problem with the psyche and concentrate that these guys are used to it and they are used to earning good money for this. What do you think they will do after the war?
Not coffee delivery, obviously.

Probably this short piece is the only mention of genocide and racism topic in modern mass culture that didn't make me want to roll my eyes.
Nice headshots, portrait of a proud breeder and his disloyal pet :3
