imagine you're 16 years old and you have a huge crush on this celebrity that you use as a coping mechanism to get through high school and your shitty home life. then your celebrity crush openly protests against the corrupt government which causes him to get canceled on Twitter and his old boy band kicks him out and his parents get assassinated. then one day you go to the bar and he's there getting blackout drunk and starting fights with people so you follow him around to make sure he doesn't die but then he almost gets hit by a bus so you push him out of the way and get hit by the bus instead. when you wake up in the hospital no one knows where he is but you miraculously have a full scholarship to law school. 30 years pass and you become very successful lawyer. you get a case representing a garbage man who uncovered key evidence in an unsolved murder from 30 years ago. you go to meet with your new client for the first time. it's your old celebrity crush.

thank you! refining his design has been a process of a few years - anyone who's been following my art since I joined this fandom will know I started out drawing him as very Marvel Superhero Chiselled And Dehydrated, but as I learned more about bodies and anatomy I realised that his lifestyle and general vibes better suited a more strongman-esque muscle + fat build. and it also made a really pleasing visual contrast between him and LXC, who, with his veggie diet and high powered golden core, is much leaner and has very little fat (even irl, I think it was Ji Li who said he preferred tackle-hugging ZZJ over LHK, because LHK is just. solid. ouch.)

basically... to me, 3zun's body types are more or less just these three guys :)

What the hell happened to solidify the Jiang as the "find around" of Jianghu??

Like, sure, Sandu Sengshou "killed Yiling Laozu" so you probably don't want to mess with the guy - but a whole sect?? "Don't mess with them or they'll clap back" is a bit of a different fame than "he's torturing demonic cultivators!" - that former is an experience-based life advice.

So, what happened? Did JC punch someone square in the face during a sect conference? Called Sect Leader Yao for a duel and kicked his ass? Fucked up a bunch of trade representatives when they tried to take advantage of the fledgeling Jiang sect??? Took Jin Guangyao's hat and held it out of his reach????
